Christmas Day could be hottest yet

The view from Stirlingshire of snow-covered peaks in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, as the coldest week of the winter could be just around the corner.

Christmas Day could reach record temperatures in the UK, with only Scottish mountains likely to see snow, the Met Office has said.
