Federal judge says freeze allows time for legal briefs to be filed before a hearing on MondayUS politics live – latest updatesA federal judge temporarily blocked a Thursday deadline for federal workers to decide whether to accept a buyout offer from the Trump administration.The offer, which was set to expire on 6 February at 11.59pm ET, was emailed from the Trump administration’s office of personnel management (OPM) last week. Senior district judge George O’Toole paused the deadline on Thursday and extended it to at least Monday, giving time for legal briefs to be filed before a hearing on Monday. Continue reading…
