NBA forcing Hornets’ LaMelo Ball to cover up tattoo: report

NBA forcing Hornets' LaMelo Ball to cover up tattoo: report

Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball has a tattoo of the initials “LF” below his left ear — and the NBA is reportedly forcing him to cover it up. The initials are short for “LaFrance,” which is Ball’s middle name, his uncle’s name and the name of his clothing brand. However, the league has a rule that players must not have commercial logos visible on their bodies. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM “Per the [collective bargaining agreement], players are prohibited from displaying commercial logos or corporate insignia on their body or in their hair during games,” NBA spokesperson Tim Frank said in a statement. “We try to enforce the rule reasonably, in accordance with its purpose, and taking into account players’ efforts to express themselves in a non-commercial manner. But LaMelo Ball’s neck tattoo is in obvious violation of the rule and, accordingly, he’s required to cover it.” WARRIORS HEAD COACH STEVE KERR: DRAYMOND GREEN ‘CROSSED’ LINE WITH CHOKEHOLD, SUSPENSION IS ‘DESERVED’ ESPN reports that Ball and the NBA have spoken over the last several weeks about the tattoo. He first covered it up on Tuesday to avoid being fined by the league, and is expected to do so again on Friday night. Nothing has been officially resolved just yet, but the two sides will continue to work on both short- and long-term resolutions. The NBA forced Ball’s older brother, Lonzo, to cover up the family’s “Big Baller Brand” logo that he had inked on him in 2018 when he was with the Los Angeles Lakers. Ball is averaging 22.2 points and 8.6 assists in his 10 contests this season. The third pick of the 2020 NBA Draft signed a five-year extension this past offseason that could be worth $260 million. Boston’s Logan Airport not ‘appropriate place’ to house displaced migrants, Massport CEO says

Boston's Logan Airport not 'appropriate place' to house displaced migrants, Massport CEO says

About 20 to 25 migrants are arriving daily at Boston’s Logan Airport, the head of the airport operator said Friday, with some seen camping out temporarily in baggage claim and elsewhere before trying to find a spot in the state’s overburdened shelter system. But Massport interim CEO Ed Freni told reporters that the airport is “not an appropriate place” for migrants to stay, even as some were seen sleeping at the facility as the state grapples with the shelter crisis. “When they come to Logan we meet them and we try to assist them, but we have to emphasize that Logan is not an appropriate place to house people,” Freni told reporters. The airport works with partners to transport the migrants to welcome centers and is looking to “other solutions in the future,” Freni said. $24.5B NEEDED FOR BOSTON TRANSIT REPAIRS, MBTA SAYS This week, Massachusetts lawmakers did not approve $250 million in emergency aid for the shelter system. Massachusetts’ emergency shelter system hit a state-imposed limit of 7,500 families last week, and migrant advocates are relying on a patchwork of temporary shelters, including churches, hospital waiting rooms and even airport lounges. Because the shelter system is full, some homeless people have had to be put on a waiting list. A new work authorization clinic is serving several hundred shelter residents per day. The clinic at Camp Curtis Guild, a Massachusetts National Guard training site in Reading, helps migrants obtain work authorization in the hopes of easing the strain on shelters. State lawmakers who failed to approve a supplemental budget embarked for the Thanksgiving break with no plans to formally convene again for votes until the new year. Lawmakers could approve additional spending in informal sessions before year’s end, but legislative rules make it easier to derail bills during informal sessions.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr: Draymond Green ‘crossed’ line with chokehold, suspension is ‘deserved’

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr: Draymond Green 'crossed' line with chokehold, suspension is 'deserved'

Draymond Green was suspended five games for his role in a brawl between his Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night after the polarizing forward put Rudy Gobert in a headlock.  Green, Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels were all ejected just two minutes into Tuesday night’s game after the latter two got tangled up. Gobert looked like he was trying to play peacemaker and break it up, but Green, from out of nowhere, rushed in and grabbed Gobert from behind, putting his arms around Gobert’s neck and dragging him in a chokehold. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM It was Green’s 18th career ejection, the second-most in NBA history, and it’s the fifth time he’s been suspended. The incident went “too far,” his head coach said. Steve Kerr, who has coached Green since 2014, said the NBA had no choice but to punish him. “He took it too far,” Kerr said before the Warriors’ 128-109 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder Thursday, via the New York Post. “Draymond was wrong. He knows that. It’s a bad look, and the five games are deserved.” LOOKING BACK AT DRAYMOND GREEN’S ON-COURT ALTERCATIONS WITH WARRIORS AFTER LATEST SUSPENSION “I don’t have a problem with [Green] trying to get Rudy off of Klay … but he’s got to let go,” Kerr added. “He hung on for six, seven seconds. It was a terrible visual for the league, for Draymond and for everybody.” Kerr said Green needs to work on his on-court behavior. “Draymond has to find a way to not cross the line,” Kerr said. “I’m not talking about getting an ejection or a technical. I’m talking about a physical act of violence. That’s inexcusable. We have to do everything we can to give him the help and assistance he needs to be able to draw that distinction between being an incredible competitor, but he can’t cross that line. He crossed it the other night, for sure.” Green will be eligible to return Nov. 28 against the Sacramento Kings. Green served a one-game suspension in the playoffs last year for stomping on Kings’ Domantas Sabonis. Fox News’ Scott Thompson contributed to this report. Pro-Palestinian protester charged in Jewish man Paul Kessler’s death could face hate crime as DA probes speech

Pro-Palestinian protester charged in Jewish man Paul Kessler's death could face hate crime as DA probes speech

The pro-Palestinian protester jailed on $1 million bond in the death of pro-Israel protester Paul Kessler will face hate crime charges only if investigators can determine that hate speech accompanied the blow that caused the Jewish man to fall. Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko told reporters at a Friday press conference that the county’s Sheriff’s Department had interviewed 60 witnesses, reviewed more than 600 videos and put forth 2,000 work hours into their investigation of Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji, 50.  “We have not ruled out a hate crime – an investigation into an alleged hate crime is ongoing,” Nasarenko said Friday. “We are looking for whether the act was accompanied by hate speech, specific words . . . that show hatred toward a specific group. We don’t have that at the moment.”  The DA’s office was called in within 24 hours of Kessler’s November 6 death, Nasarenko said, which happened hours after the 69-year-old was struck by Alnaji amid a dispute at conflicting pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian protests on the corners of Westlake and Thousand Oaks Boulevards in Westlake Village around 3:20 p.m. on November 5. PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTESTER ARRESTED IN DEATH OF JEWISH MAN PAUL KESSLER The blow knocked Kessler down onto the concrete – with a megaphone, witnesses told Fox News Digital – and caused skull fractures, brain bruising and swelling that would later kill him.  “New physical and forensic evidence regarding the injuries to the left side of Paul Kessler’s face” contributed to Alnaji’s arrest on Thursday, Ventura County Sheriff James Fryhoff said. PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTESTER ‘TRIED TO BAIT’ ELDERLY JEWISH MAN BEFORE FATAL ALTERCATION, WITNESS SAYS After he was taken into custody at his Moorpark home around 7:40 a.m. Thursday without incident, the district attorney said, Alnaji was charged with involuntary manslaughter and battery causing serious bodily injury. Investigators have “no evidence, no statements whatsoever that the defendant arrived at that intersection with the intention to kill.” Therefore, no murder charge was pursued, Nasarenko said.  HUNDREDS HONOR JEWISH MAN PAUL KESSLER KILLED IN CLASH WITH PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTESTER: ‘WE WANT JUSTICE’ Both charges that have been filed come with “special allegations that Alnaji personally inflicted great bodily injury.”  This, Nasarenko said Tuesday, allows those charges to count toward California’s “Three Strikes” law. Should Alnaji be charged with a third crime, he would face a mandatory 25 years to life behind bars.  But the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department still has not procured evidence that could lead to a hate crime charge, despite the protests at the backdrop of the incident.  JEWISH MAN’S DEATH AT CALIFORNIA RALLY COMPLICATED BY CONFLICTING WITNESS ACCOUNTS Investigators are still urging the public to come forward with any recollections or video of the November 5 incident in their investigation.  Nasarenko thanked both area Jewish and Muslim communities for their cooperation and patience amid the investigation.  ELDERLY JEWISH MAN DIED IN CONFRONTATION WITH PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTESTER AT CALIFORNIA RALLY A source with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department has told Fox News Digital that individuals across the country have repeatedly called the department urging swift action in the case. Nasarenko and Fryhoff said they spoke with Kessler’s family for about 30 minutes following Alnaji’s arrest. They shared that Kessler had worked in medical sales, taught sales at a number of satellite college campuses and had been married for 44 years.  “[Kessler’s family] are mourning, they are grieving, and they are asking for privacy during this very difficult time,” Nasarenko said. Alnaji is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. PST in Ventura County Superior Court.

US troops targeted in three more attacks at bases in Iraq, Syria, leaving one injured

US troops targeted in three more attacks at bases in Iraq, Syria, leaving one injured

Terrorists attacked U.S. military bases in Iraq and Syria on Friday, striking three facilities with one-way drones and leaving at least one soldier injured, a report says.  The incidents bring the total number of attacks on U.S. coalition forces to 60 since October 17, the Associated Press is reporting, citing two U.S. officials.  At least 59 service members have been wounded in the attacks, but the Pentagon has said that all injuries were minor and that those troops will be able to return to duty.  Iran-backed terrorist groups have launched attacks almost daily since October 17, the day a blast at a Gaza hospital killed hundreds and sparked protests across the region. LIVE UPDATES: ISRAEL AT WAR WITH HAMAS  The U.S. has repeatedly warned the groups to desist and avoid escalating the war between Israel and Hamas into a wider conflict.  On Friday, a one-way drone targeted Al Harir air base in Erbil, Iraq, with no casualties reported, but a damage assessment was still ongoing, according to the AP.  Multiple one-way drones also attacked Al Asad air base in Iraq but caused no injuries or infrastructure damage, and another multiple one-way drone attack at Tall Baydar, Syria, resulted in minor injuries to one service member, who was able to return to duty, a defense official told the news agency.  US FORCES IN SYRIA AND IRAQ ATTACKED DOZENS OF TIMES SINCE MID-OCTOBER  Senior Pentagon officials said in late October that the attacks have “Iranian fingerprints all over” them.  One defense official who held a background briefing at that time said that Iran is funding, equipping, guiding and directing partners and proxies across the Middle East, including Lebanese Hezbollah militia groups in Iran, Syria and Yemen.  “I think it’s fair to say when you see this uptick in activity in attacks by many of these groups, there’s Iranian fingerprints all over it,” the defense official said.  Fox News’ Greg Wehner and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

New York man charged with child rape after police rescue kidnapped nine-year-old from his cabinet

New York man charged with child rape after police rescue kidnapped nine-year-old from his cabinet

Craig Ross Jr., the 46-year-old New York man accused of abducting a nine-year-old girl from her bicycle and holding her for ransom, is now accused of raping the child while he kept her captive in a camper behind his mom’s double-wide trailer. A Saratoga County court unsealed a nine-count indictment Friday as Ross pleaded not guilty to the charges. Police arrested Ross last month on kidnapping charges, but he now faces charges of first-degree rape, predatory sex assault against a child and more. ATTORNEY ACCUSED OF SLAYING FATHER OVER FINANCIAL DISPUTE HANGS HIMSELF IN PRISON Police say he left his fingerprints on a ransom note that a state trooper watched him stuff into the victim’s family’s mailbox. CLICK HERE FOR MORE TRUE CRIME FROM FOX NEWS A DUI arrest from 1999 helped police identify the suspect, whom they traced to the camper on his mother’s property. “Within the camper, they located the suspect,” New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said during a news briefing after tactical teams captured Ross and rescued the girl alive. “After some resistance, the suspect was taken into custody, and immediately the little girl was found in a cabinet, covered. She was rescued.” Ross’ mother told reporters to get off her property when approached for comment, and she has not returned calls. Judge James Murphy ordered Ross held without bail and scheduled his next hearing for December 21. In addition to the DWI, Ross had a prior domestic violence charge. State police told Fox News Digital that there was no record of any sex-related crimes in his past. Ross’ son told Fox News Digital that he hoped his father dies in prison over the allegations. He also said that he hadn’t seen any warning signs. “I don’t know anything,” he said. “I hate him and hope he dies in prison.” Fox News’ Chris Eberhart contributed to this report.

4 ways to print out, save and send your iPhone's text messages

Do you ever wish you had more concrete evidence of things that were said to you over text? Maybe you need to prove a point, settle a dispute or keep a record of important information. Whatever the reason, printing out text messages is a great way to keep a hard copy of your conversations, which can come in handy if you ever need to go to court or simply hold someone accountable. But how do you print out text messages on your iPhone? It’s not as straightforward as you might think. Unlike some other phones, iPhones don’t have a built-in option to print messages directly from the Messages app. However, there are still some ways to do it, depending on how many messages you want to print and whether you want a physical or digital copy. Schwarzenegger open to third-party challenger to Trump and Biden: They’re ‘both flawed’

Schwarzenegger open to third-party challenger to Trump and Biden: They're 'both flawed'

Arnold Schwarzenegger believes the United States should move on from both President Biden and former President Donald Trump, saying he was open to a third-party challenger to the “flawed” frontrunners. The former California governor and Hollywood actor told Axios he is a big believer in “new blood” and moving on to a new generation. “But if that’s what it needs, if that’s what this country needs, to have that kind of a showdown again and to finally find out, you know, that Biden is, you know, the legitimate president, then so be it,” he added. According to Schwarzenegger, the bottom line is that the country needs to find new leaders. He described Trump and Biden as “both flawed” individuals. TOM ARNOLD REVEALS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER HELPED SAVE HIM AFTER ‘WAKE-UP CALL’ STROKE “I just think we’re at a time now where we need someone strong, where we need visionaries, and not people that tinker around with little Mickey Mouse stuff,” he continued. When asked by Axios what it would mean if Trump were re-elected, Schwarzenegger suggested the conversation was “premature.” “We don’t know where Trump is going to be, legally. We don’t know what’s going to happen with Biden, if he really is going to stay in. We don’t know if there’s not a third candidate coming,” he said. He also revealed that he was “interested” and “open” to a third-party hopeful or anyone fresh coming in and taking over the job. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., has suggested this week he will explore an independent run for the White House. Schwarzenegger made similar comments last month during an interview with the BBC. At the time, he said that he hoped America would find some “really young blood” to lead the country. ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER ADMITS TO LOOKING IN THE MIRROR, TELLING HIMSELF ‘YOU SUCK’ “It is a little bit odd that we are having a battle between people today in the late 70s and early 80s, rather than people in the 40s and 50s or maybe even younger, and have them have a chance at this great, great job,” he said at the time. The Austrian-born actor, who is ineligible to run for president, was also asked if he wished he could one day sit in the Oval Office.  “I feel like I would make a great president,” Schwarzenegger said. “But I feel that, at the same time, everything I’ve accomplished was because of America.” While he is to the left of the Republican Party on several key issues, he is still a member and said last month he “absolutely” feels at home in the modern GOP. Earlier that month, Schwarzenegger criticized Democrats for their leadership in major cities across the U.S. During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Literally! With Row Low,” he was asked what it means to be a Democrat today. “Ruin your cities,” Schwarzenegger responded. “That’s what the Democrats would say. We are about ruining the cities. We want to f— up every city in America. That seems to be the theme right now.” For more Culture, Media, Education, Opinion, and channel coverage, visit foxnews.com/media.

News magazine cover depicts Trump as ‘Biggest danger to the World in 2024’

News magazine cover depicts Trump as ‘Biggest danger to the World in 2024’

The British weekly newspaper The Economist depicted former President Trump as the “biggest danger to the world” next year on their latest cover.  Puck Senior Correspondent Dylan Byers shared the image of the Economist’s upcoming November publication, a “90-Page Guide to the coming year” that featured an image of the Earth being engulfed by the former president’s silhouette. The corresponding article was cautioning about Trump’s possible re-election. Its headline stated, “Donald Trump poses the biggest danger to the world in 2024,” and the text of the article warned about how “perilous” a Trump second term would be.  PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTESTORS SWARM NEW YORK TIMES HEADQUARTERS CALLING FOR CEASE-FIRE IN GAZA “A shadow looms over the world. In this week’s edition we publish The World Ahead 2024, our 38th annual predictive guide to the coming year, and in all that time no single person has ever eclipsed our analysis as much as Donald Trump eclipses 2024. That a Trump victory next November is a coin-toss probability is beginning to sink in,” the article stated.  It continued, noting Trump’s formidable polling which has him ahead of President Biden in several swing states. “For decades Democrats have relied on support among Black and Hispanic voters, but a meaningful number are abandoning the party. In the next 12 months, a stumble by either candidate could determine the race—and thus upend the world,” the article continued. “This is a perilous moment for a man like Mr. Trump to be back knocking on the door of the Oval Office. Democracy is in trouble at home. Mr Trump’s claim to have won the election in 2020 was more than a lie: it was a cynical bet that he could manipulate and intimidate his compatriots, and it has worked.” The article concluded, “A second Trump term would be a watershed in a way the first was not. Victory would confirm his most destructive instincts about power. His plans would encounter less resistance. And because America will have voted him in while knowing the worst, its moral authority would decline.” WHERE TRUMP STANDS IN THE LATEST FOX NEWS NATIONAL POLL IN THE GOP PRESIDENTIAL RACE Social media users cited the cover and corresponding article as further proof the mainstream media will devolve into “unmitigated hysteria” over Trump’s 2024 campaign. The Blaze host Auron MacIntyre posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, “You thought the media were deranged in 2016, you thought they were completely unhinged in 2020, but my friend there are no words for the sheer unmitigated hysteria that will be 2024.” The Daily Wire editor Brent Scher blasted the outlet for overlooking America’s global enemies in highlighting Trump. He posted, “Not Hamas, not Xi, not Putin…” American Moment president Surabh Sharma commented, “Man, these people are such babies.” Popular conservative influencer “Comfortably Smug” said, “Honestly sad what’s become of this publication.” National Review senior writer Dan McLaughlin used the piece to blast President Biden, stating, “This is another way of saying that the current president of the United States is too small to meet the moment.” Citizens for Renewing America executive director Wade Miller commented, “The Economist remains an unserious publication.” The Economist did not immediately respond to a request for comment.  CLICK TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP For more Culture, Media, Education, Opinion and channel coverage, visit foxnews.com/media.

California family sues sheriff’s office after deputy’s ‘catfishing’ of teen and triple homicide

Mark and Sharon Winek

A California family is suing a Virginia sheriff’s department that hired a deputy who sexually extorted and kidnapped a 15-year-old girl at gunpoint, killed her mother and grandparents, and set their home on fire. Austin Lee Edwards, 28, died by suicide during a shootout with law enforcement on Nov. 25, hours after the violence in Riverside, a city about 50 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The teenager was rescued. Edwards had been hired as a Washington County sheriff’s deputy in Virginia just nine days before the killings, even though a 2016 court order prohibited him from buying, possessing and transporting a firearm. The court order stemmed from a psychiatric detention after Edwards cut himself and threatened to kill his father. CALIFORNIA FAMILY MURDERED BY VIRGINIA MAN WHO ‘CATFISHED’ TEEN GIRL: POLICE VIRGINIA DEPUTY WHO CATFISHED CALIFORNIA TEEN, KILLED HER FAMILY, SHOT HIMSELF WITH SERVICE GUN The girl’s aunt, Mychelle Blandin, and her minor sister filed the lawsuit Thursday in federal court in the Central District of California against the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Edwards’ estate. The lawsuit says the department was negligent in hiring Edwards and seeks damages through a jury trial. The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Authorities have said Edwards had posed online as a 17-year-old boy while communicating with the teenager, a form of deception known as “catfishing,” and asked her to send nude photos of herself. The girl stopped responding to his messages, prompting Edwards to travel across the country to her home in California. The lawsuit alleges that he showed his law enforcement badge and service weapon to Mark Winek and Sharon Winek, the girl’s grandparents, and said he was a detective and needed to question the family. The suit says Edwards slit the throat of the teen’s mother, Brooke Winek, and tried to asphyxiate her grandparents by tying them up with bags over their heads. At least one of them was still moving when he set their home on fire, the lawsuit says. Blandin said the killings “destroyed our family.” “I am bringing this lawsuit because my family wants to know how Edwards was hired as a sheriff’s deputy and given a gun when the courts expressly ordered he could not possess a firearm,” Blandin said in a statement. “He used his position as a sheriff to gain access to my parents’ home, where he killed them and my sister. I want the Washington County Sheriff’s Office held accountable for giving a mentally unfit person a badge and a gun.” MAN ACCUSED OF CATFISHING CALIFORNIA TEEN, KILLING HER FAMILY IS FORMER LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER Edwards was hired by the Virginia State Police in July 2021 and resigned nine months later. He was then hired as a deputy in Washington County last year. The slayings — and their connection to Virginia — prompted Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin to ask the state’s inspector general for a “full investigation,” which found that a background investigator for the state police failed to check the correct database that would have pulled up the mental health order. The state police, which is not listed as a defendant in the lawsuit, has since changed its employment processes and background investigation policies and training. A spokesperson for the state police did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.

Nevada prison firefighters awarded $340K settlement after being ‘mocked and ignored’ while burning

Nevada prison firefighters awarded $340K settlement after being 'mocked and ignored' while burning

Nevada must pay $340,000 total to the ACLU of Nevada and eight people on a prison firefighting crew in a settlement reached earlier this week, but clears the state of admitting to claims including negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and cruel and unusual punishment. The settlement reached Tuesday by the Nevada Board of Examiners ends both state and federal lawsuits filed in March stemming from a 2021 fire cleanup on the southern tip of the state. In a lawsuit filed in Clark County District Court, the ACLU of Nevada alleged that supervisors “mocked and abused” prison firefighters after what was described as a gruesome cleanup assignment that left several unable to walk, stand or shower without assistance for days. The lawsuit claimed none of the incarcerated firefighters received medical treatment that night. NEVADA LAWMAKERS SIGNAL APPROVAL TO SCALE BACK PRISON FIREFIGHTER CAMPS OHIO JURY FINDS RETALIATION, HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT, AWARDS FIREFIGHTER $224K In the lawsuit, the ACLU of Nevada alleged on behalf of the plaintiffs that when the sole of one plaintiff’s boot melted off from the heat, a Nevada Division of Forestry supervisor duct-taped it back on and told her to continue working. When another plaintiff started crying from pain, the supervisor allegedly said, “You can keep crying as long as you keep working.” The Nevada Division Forestry will also expand on training for its prison firefighting program, and implement or ensure a host of policies meant to protect incarcerated firefighters including avenues to submit anonymous concerns and better maintenance of protective equipment — including work boots. NEVADA’S MOST POPULOUS COUNTY ANNOUNCES NEW ELECTIONS DIRECTOR The crew fighting the 2021 fire was from Jean Conservation Camp, the only prison firefighting facility designed for women. The Division of Forestry owns the camp and firefighting programs while the Department of Corrections staffs the camp. The Nevada Department of Corrections and Division of Forestry both declined to comment. The settlement was first reported by The Nevada Independent. The plaintiffs — comprised of current and formerly incarcerated people — will receive between about $24,000 and $48,000 each.

Trump team moves for mistrial in NY case, AG asks judge for December deadline on decision

Trump team moves for mistrial in NY case, AG asks judge for December deadline on decision

New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking a December deadline for a judicial response to former President Trump’s motion for a mistrial in his highly publicized civil fraud case.  Trump’s team filed the motion for a mistrial Wednesday, citing Judge Arthur Engoron’s past social posts on an alumni page for Wheatley School. In the posts, the judge appears to reference the case, as well as Trump and members of the former president’s family.  “In this case, the evidence of apparent and actual bias is tangible and overwhelming,” wrote Trump lawyers Clifford Robert and Alina Habba.  TRUMP TAKES THE STAND IN CIVIL TRIAL STEMMING FROM NEW YORK ATTORNEY GENERAL LETITIA JAMES LAWSUIT “Such evidence, coupled with an unprecedented departure from standard judicial procedure, has tainted these proceedings and a mistrial is warranted,” the pair added. James filed a letter to Engoron on Thursday requesting the judge reply to the Trump legal team’s motion by Dec. 8. James called the claims in the Trump team’s letter “spurious allegations.” NY AG LETITIA JAMES CAUGHT SMIRKING AS DON JR. TAKES THE STAND AT TRUMP CIVIL TRIAL Over the past several weeks, Trump has made many appearances in court defending the Trump Organization, which has its New York business license in jeopardy as James has leveled fraud charges against him and his two adult sons, who were named co-defendants in the case.  Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has repeatedly said his assets were actually undervalued.  The former president has also repeatedly said his financial statements had disclaimers, requesting that the numbers be evaluated by the banks. James has been vocal in her opposition to Trump and repeatedly campaigned on prosecuting the former president before becoming attorney general.  She has denied her charges against him are politically motivated. Fox News Digital’s Joseph A. Wulfsohn, Brooke Singman, and Maria Paronich contributed to this report.

CNN alters controversial homicide arrest headline after saying Jewish protester ‘fell and hit his head’

CNN alters controversial homicide arrest headline after saying Jewish protester 'fell and hit his head'

CNN changed a headline on Thursday following outrage over their report about an arrest being made for the death of a Jewish man at a protest in Los Angeles earlier this month.  The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department announced that Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji, 50, had been taken into custody and charged with involuntary manslaughter related to the death of Paul Kessler on Nov. 5. Investigators with the department allege that Alnaji caused Kessler, a 69-year-old pro-Israel protester, to knock his head onto the concrete when he fell, which resulted in brain hemorrhaging that led to his death hours later in the hospital. Some witnesses have told Fox News Digital that the pro-Palestinian protester struck Kessler with his megaphone. According to the Wayback Machine, CNN’s original headline read, “Arrest made in death of Jewish protester who fell and hit his head.” However, hours later, it changed. “Arrest made in death of Jewish protester in California after confrontation over Israel-Hamas war,” the new headline reads. NBC NEWS CHANGES HEADLINE AFTER OMITTING MAN KILLED AT PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTEST WAS JEWISH The update followed intense online backlash from people accusing the news organization of bias. “If all he did was fall and hit his head, why is anyone being arrested? Is the state of critical thinking today such that no one is expected to analyze nonsense headlines like this?” BitChute senior policy officer Amy Peikoff asked.  “There’s no fixing this. Either journalists are doing it on purpose or they’re too far gone to know the difference. Either way,” Sen. Ted Cruz’s national security advisor Omri Ceren wrote. National Review contributor Pradheep Shanker agreed, “The bias is real.” “They are also not saying that the suspect is a California college ‘professor.’ There’s no fixing universities either,” Daily Signal contributor Mike Gonzalez wrote, noting he’s a computer science professor at Ventura County Community College. Root Ventures partner Lee Edwards commented, “So weird. If he fell and hit his head, why was someone arrested?” CALIFORNIA DEM JEWISH LEADERS DEMAND UNIVERSITIES ADDRESS ANTISEMITISM ‘CRISIS’: ‘CLIMATE OF HATE’ CNN previously updated a headline regarding its original coverage of Kessler’s death. A Nov. 7 article was originally titled “Man in California dies after suffering head injury at pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian demonstrations” according to the Wayback Machine. Hours later, the article was reedited to “Jewish man dies from head injury following ‘interaction’ with pro-Palestinian demonstrator in California, authorities say.” A CNN spokesperson told Fox News Digital the headline was updated to be stronger and clearer.  CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Kessler’s autopsy at the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be blunt force head injury and the manner of death to be homicide, per the office’s press release.  Alnaji is currently incarcerated at Ventura County Jail on $1,000,000 bail. His first appearance at Ventura County Superior Court is scheduled for November 20. For more Culture, Media, Education, Opinion, and channel coverage, visit foxnews.com/media.

John Rich would sacrifice music career for his children: ‘Most important job’

John Rich would sacrifice music career for his children: ‘Most important job’

Country music star John Rich is a proud father of two sons.  Rich, who recently released his new single “The Man,” revealed he would make major sacrifices for his children, including giving up his music career. “Raising your kids is the most important job a man or a woman has if they have kids. … Spending time with my two boys … teaching them about the world they’re looking at today, getting them ready for what they’re going to run into when they become young men, that is job No. 1,” Rich told Fox News Digital. JOHN RICH SLAMS ‘WOKE CULTURE,’ SAYS PEOPLE DON’T WANT IT ‘IN THEIR FACE LIKE A BULLHORN’ “I would never sing another note if you said, ‘Give up your music, give up your kids.’ Are you kidding? Not even a question. … There’s nothing I would not do for my two kids.” Rich, 49, shares two young boys with his wife Joan — Colt, 12, and Cash, 13. The country star said Colt was named after American businessman Samuel Colt.  The “Save a Horse” singer additionally noted he shifted his “American dream” from being a country star to being a father to his children. “I spent … all of my … 20s and 30s, that’s all I cared about was just getting out, having hit songs, selling millions of records, doing big concerts. That was my focus, my American dream,” he explained. “But then my kids were born, and I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m still going to go do those things. But that is no longer my main focus.’” WATCH: JOHN RICH PREPARES KIDS FOR ‘NONSENSE’ WORLD Rich added it’s a “good thing” his sons don’t think of their dad as a big country music star. He added that he enjoys going to their baseball games, school plays and helping them with their homework.  “When I shift down into show mode and they come out on the road … they come see a concert, then their eyes bug out, they go, ‘Wow, we forgot. Dad can do that,’” Rich concluded. “But as soon as the show is over … I downshift right back in to being their dad.” JOHN RICH REACTS TO GARTH BROOKS’ DECISION TO SELL ‘EVERY BRAND OF BEER’ AMID BUD LIGHT DRAMA WATCH: JOHN RICH HONORS LATE GRANDFATHER, WWII VETERAN, WITH NEW SONG ‘THE MAN’ LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? I mean, it was awful.” “The Good Lord And The Man” crooner recalled his late grandfather’s tumultuous journey after World War II ended. Rich said the veteran suffered with PTSD and was “hooked on morphine” for a few years after the war.  “I wrote this song in memory of him and about my experience with him. But, more broadly, I wrote the song about all of them,” Rich added, referring to veterans. “You know, ‘The Man,’ to me, yeah, it was him for me, but ‘The Man’ to somebody else is their father, their grandfather, someone in their family that served the country.” JOHN RICH REFLECTS ON RISE TO FAME, SHARES HINTS OF COWBOY WISDOM: ‘BE WILLING TO BLEED’ FOR YOUR DREAMS The multi-platinum singer-songwriter released “The Man” in honor of Veterans Day, and the single is featured on his recent project “The Country Truth.” Rich hopes “The Man” will leave a lasting impact on the future generation as he remembers the “greatest generation” of World War II veterans.  “I think the song is very important. I think it reminds people again of what true American greatness looks like,” he added. “After World War II, that is arguably the strongest America has ever been in its history … probably the decade following World War II.”
