Atlanta mom says teacher allegedly slapped autistic 7-year-old son inside classroom

Atlanta mom says teacher allegedly slapped autistic 7-year-old son inside classroom

An Atlanta mom is alleging that her 7-year-old autistic son was slapped by his teacher inside a classroom. The alleged assault took place at Cleveland Avenue Elementary School on Nov. 8. Police and officials with Atlanta Public Schools are investigating the incident. “I don’t know what could’ve caused this lady to react in a way that she felt so threatened by my three-foot-tall child,” Reginique Stinson told FOX 5 Atlanta. Her son, Gabriel, was allegedly struck by the teacher inside his classroom so hard that another teacher heard it and reported it, Stinson was told after the incident. ATLANTA OFFICER FIRES GUN INSIDE HOSPITAL WHILE CHASING VEHICLE THEFT SUSPECT “I just can’t imagine how my son could’ve felt in that moment. He’s never experienced something like that. I don’t hit my child,” Stinson said. “I feel like she definitely took advantage of the fact that he’s non-verbal in hitting him because she knew he can’t really speak up for himself.” APS school officials told FOX 5 that the district’s Office of Employee Relations and Atlanta Public Schools Police have opened investigations into the alleged slap. Stinson said she received few details about the incident and that she has since observed a change in her son’s behavior. GQEORGIA SCHOOL DISTRICT MOURNS TEACHER FATALLY SHOT IN ATLANTA BY UNKNOWN SUSPECT “Outside of me dropping him off, my sister drops him off, and she was like, ‘He didn’t want to go into his classroom,'” she explained. Stinson is calling on the district to better train teachers with special education students and urging APS to install cameras inside all classrooms. She also said she has taken her son out of that class and is considering moving him to another school. It is unclear what the teacher’s employment status is after the slap.

AI transparency is smart, but government really needs tech transparency elsewhere

AI transparency is smart, but government really needs tech transparency elsewhere

President Joe Biden’s October 30 executive order on artificial intelligence is very broad and focuses a lot on safety but very little on freedom.  It includes clauses on protecting personal privacy and copyrights of training data, watermarking AI content and deep fakes, equitable civil rights, employee replacement by AI tech, and safety of use cases that may affect the military or critical infrastructure. It also provides a vague reference to minimal transparency by requiring AI companies to share results of red-team safety tests of their platforms which will eventually follow criteria of not-yet-developed standards by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. BIDEN HANDS CHINA BIG WIN WITH MILITARY DEAL, EXPERTS SAY: ‘INCREDIBLY POOR DECISION’ Many other government agencies, including Departments of Commerce, Treasury, Energy, Defense and Homeland Security are invoked with roles in AI regulation and safety standards. Indeed, there are only a few lonely agencies not directly invoked to participate in regulating AI. The goals of ensuring safe and non-military uses of AI are laudable. What is missing is real transparency on the training data and content restrictions that govern how these black-box AI systems generate content and whether “safety” standards will include viewpoint neutrality. If one or a few AI platforms become a monopoly, and potentially replace the current monopoly of Google search platforms, then such transparency and viewpoint-neutrality are crucial. This will ensure free and fair distribution of news, opinions and academic debates without censorship or bias from so-called authoritative sources that promote the then-current government narrative. Today, a few well-known online social media, search and video sharing platforms are already monopolies that completely dominate 80-90% of the visibility and sharing of content.  Americans now report they get most of their news from these online sources, so these monopoly platforms have become the new town square of news, political opinion and academic debate. If a content creator or news site is not visible on the front page of Google search results, that site will disappear from the planet in terms of reader access. If ensuring both online safety and viewpoint neutrality is a bridge too far for our current divided Congress to tackle, a first step that can gather bipartisan support and have a strong positive impact is to mandate public transparency for the online content moderation rules of these monopoly platforms. Such transparency would not need to ask companies to expose their trade secrets and core intellectual property, but would focus on the following: 1. Publish online content moderation standards with examples so that users can easily understand which content is allowed and which content may be moderated in some way. 2. For any enforcement action, an explanation of what specific content rules were broken and which specific content broke the rules. 3. If any third-party fact-checkers are involved in the enforcement action, publish the names, qualifications, funders and history of each fact-checker or fact-checking organization. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION 4. Rapid public reporting of any communications to/from government entities including entities funded by the government, all employees and contractors of such entities. Exception for official police or national security requirements. 5. If an AI platform approaches monopoly status with more than 50% share of AI content generation measured by active users or revenues, that platform would need to publish all relevant training data sources and content rules related to the content generated by such AI platform. Enforcement could be handled like the enforcement of false advertising, with financial penalties for the companies with platforms that fail to publish and follow their content moderation rules. However, the glare of publicity is likely more powerful and important to help these companies publish and consistently and fairly follow reasonable content rules. These requirements or similar transparency rules have appeared separately in various proposals from both Democrat and Republican sides of Congress. Transparency alone does not solve all the challenges of online safety and viewpoint neutrality and related issues with existing Section 230 law, but it is a strong start and has a far higher chance of garnering bipartisan support for passage. Javier Milei crushes Argentine left, becomes world’s first libertarian head of state

Javier Milei crushes Argentine left, becomes world's first libertarian head of state

How can the current economy minister of a nation with 140% inflation and 40% living below the poverty line win a presidential election? It turns out that he can’t, at least not in Argentina. Libertarian outsider congressman and economist Javier Milei, of the Liberty Advances party, won a decisive victory tonight over the establishment’s center-left candidate, the Peronista Sergio Massa. ARGENTINA ELECTION SHOWDOWN AS LIBERTARIAN OUTSIDER LOOKS TO TAKE DOWN ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE With 99.3% of the votes counted, Milei stood at 55.7% versus 44.3% for Massa. While Massa won the vote-rich province of Buenos Aires by a little over 1%, Milei won the city proper of Buenos Aires, and then crushed Massa in the vote-rich northern provinces of Cordoba, Santa Fe, and Mendoza. Milei enjoyed a slight lead in the polls heading into the final week of the election, but political analysts noted that Milei had significantly underperformed in the first round election last month. While expected to win, Milei only won 30% of the vote in the first round, to Massa’s nearly 37%. Former center-right Security Minister Patricia Bullrich placed third with 24% of the vote. Thus, Milei’s critical mission was to consolidate the support of first-round Bullrich voters. Polls showed that he was likely to win 70-75% of Bullrich supporters, while splitting backers of fourth-place Cordoba governor Juan Schiaretti 50/50 with Massa. Milei appears to have not merely met, but exceeded, those expectations. FORMER ROCKER NICKNAMED ‘ARGENTINE TRUMP’ GAINS ELECTION STEAM WITH ANTI-SOCIALIST MESSAGE Anger over rampant inflation, poverty, insecurity, and corruption within the ranks of the Peronist party clearly trumped the institutional advantages of Massa, who counted on vast state resources and the enormous and powerful Peronist political machinery to mobilize masses of supporters. That includes an enormous number of unionized workers, in both the public and private sectors, who tend to lean left; indeed, 40% of Argentinian workers are unionized, compared to only 11% in the United States. To his credit, Massa was quick and gracious in defeat, as he addressed dejected supporters gathered in the northern Buenos Aires neighborhood of Chacarita at the Complejo Art Media. He made it clear that Milei will now be responsible for the nation’s economic problems. Milei supporters gathered in front of the Hotel Libertador, just blocks from Avenida 9 de Julio, and the city’s trademark obelisco, where thousands packed the Avenida Cordoba, singing songs denouncing the country’s political class in general, and current Vice President Cristina Kirchner, in particular. The hapless current President Alberto Fernandez has been nowhere to be seen for months, and it has been widely suspected that Massa is the one who has really been making major economic and political decisions over the course of the year. ARGENTINA ELECTION: MILEI UNDERPERFORMS, BUT STILL REACHES SECOND ROUND RUNOFF AGAINST ESTABLISHMENT’S MASSA At 76% turnout, voting was robust and steady throughout the day, as Argentinians expressed their considerable dissatisfaction with the dominant political force in political life for three quarters of a century: the Peronist party of Juan Domingo and Evita Peron. Tonight the Argentinian electorate addressed a fundamental question: is it better to go with the devil you know, or the devil you don’t? Despite concerns over Milei’s temperament, his lack of experience in government, and his penchant for Trump-like outbursts, the nation’s 45 million people have spoken clearly in favor of the latter option. Milei has been a true showman on the campaign trail, famously portraying himself as a lion who will courageously stand up to the nation’s “useless and parasitic” political class, while using a chainsaw as a frequent prop to express his disdain for what he alleges to be excessive government spending. He proved adept at sparking interest in Argentina’s young people, who widely backed him, as well as using social media and interviews to drive the narrative. Massa relied more on traditional print media. With war unfolding in Israel, Milei also proved popular with the nation’s large Jewish community, the largest in Latin America, and appeared at several campaign events waving the Israeli flag. He has pledged that under his tenure, Argentina’s two key allies will be the United States and Israel. Milei also benefited from the quick and enthusiastic backing of Bullrich, as well as former center-right President Mauricio Macri, who both have long butted heads with the Peronist political class as well. The road ahead for Milei and allies will not be easy. The Liberty Advances Party has only a small block in each house of Congress, while the Peronist party has the largest group in each chamber. Thus, Milei will have to work with the Peronists and the center-right Macri/Bullrich contingent in order to move policy objectives forward. He will certainly not be dollarizing the economy or ending the Argentine Central Bank overnight, but as he works to present a vision of “liberal libertarianism,” as he likes to describe it, to the Argentine people and the world, he will avail himself of two things: a keen sense of humor, and a sharp political mind. Milei, who seems to live for a good fight, will now have the fight of his life on his hands.

Russell Wilson throws clutch TD pass to lift Broncos to 4th straight win

Russell Wilson throws clutch TD pass to lift Broncos to 4th straight win

Russell Wilson brought hope back to the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. The Broncos trailed the Minnesota Vikings for most of the night. The only points they were getting onto the scoreboard was from kicker Will Lutz. But as the defense stymied Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs, Wilson was able to guide the Broncos on a 10-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton. Denver took a 21-20 lead and won by the same score. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Wilson was 27-of-35 with 259 passing yards and a touchdown pass. He was only sacked twice. Sutton led the team with four catches for 66 yards. Samajae Perine had seven catches for 60 yards. Sutton and Perine were among the eight players who were targeted in the game. The Denver defense played smashmouth football all night. Josey Jewell and Ja’Quan McMillian recovered fumbles. McMillian also had an interception. The defense only managed to sack Dobbs twice. FROM OUTKICK: VIKINGS QB JOSH DOBBS REBOUNDS AFTER TURNOVER ON FIRST DRIVE OF SNF Still, Dobbs made history as he had Minnesota up for most of the night. He made history in each of the last two weeks as he came into the game against Denver and made some more. With his scores against the Broncos, he became the first NFL player with at least one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown in each of his first three games for a team. He finished 20-of-32 with 221 passing yards. His touchdown pass went to Josh Oliver, who finished with four catches for 47 yards. T.J. Hockenson led the team with four catches for 55 yards. BILLS PUT STRUGGLES IN THE REARVIEW FOR BLOWOUT WIN OVER JETS Dobbs’ curious 2023 season started in March when the Cleveland Browns signed him over from the Tennessee Titans. He was traded to the Arizona Cardinals before the regular season kicked off. He was then traded to the Vikings as Arizona was about to get Kyler Murray back from injury. He’s won each of his Vikings starts using his arm and legs. He made his debut against the Atlanta Falcons when he had to come into the game in a pinch for Jaran Hall. Dobbs will now have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to bounce back from a loss next week. With four straight wins, the Broncos are back to 5-5 and still in the playoff picture in the AFC standings. The team has tough matchups with the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans next on their docket. It really seemed as though the Broncos were headed for a repeat of 2022 when they started 1-5 but a few wins have completely changed the tone of their season.

On this day in history, November 20, 1925, Robert F. Kennedy is born in Massachusetts

On this day in history, November 20, 1925, Robert F. Kennedy is born in Massachusetts

Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, younger brother of former President John F. Kennedy and former U.S. attorney general, was born on this day in history, November 20, 1925. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, to Joseph Sr. and Rose Kennedy, Robert was the seventh of their nine children.  He was commonly referred to as “Bobby.”  In 1943, Kennedy joined the Navy College Training Program, known as V-12, and began studying at Harvard.  ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, NOVEMBER 19, 1863, PRESIDENT LINCOLN DELIVERS THE GETTSYBURG ADDRESS  He was moved to Bates College, served on a ship named after his late elder brother Joe, and was honorably discharged from the Navy in May 1946, says the National Parks Service website.  Kennedy then resumed his studies at Harvard, graduating in 1948. He then went on to study law, and graduated from the University of Virginia Law School in 1951, says the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library website.  Shortly after graduating from law school, Kennedy jumped into the world of politics.  In 1952, Kennedy managed his brother John’s campaign for U.S. Senate, then spent time working for the Senate Subcommittee on Investigations, says the JFK Presidential Library.  Kennedy also managed John F. Kennedy’s successful presidential run in 1960.  He was appointed U.S. attorney general by his brother, a move that was “controversial” at the time, says the National Parks Service. ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, JUNE 5, 1968, PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL ROBERT F. KENNEDY IS FATALLY SHOT IN LOS ANGELES “Bobby had never practiced law before and was appointed due to their father’s insistence that the president have someone he could trust,” said the same source. Inexperienced as he was, Kennedy quickly got to work proving the naysayers wrong. In particular, Kennedy worked against organized crime, and “convictions against organized crime figures rose by 800% during his tenure,” said the JFK Library. Kennedy also was committed to civil rights causes, particularly those related to voting rights for African Americans and school integration. After President Kennedy’s assassination, Bobby Kennedy resigned from his role of U.S. attorney general.  He was elected to the Senate in 1964, representing New York.  ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1953, JOHN F. KENNEDY WEDS JACQUELINE BOUVIER IN NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND In 1968, it seemed as though the White House might soon once again be occupied by a member of the Kennedy family.  Bobby Kennedy announced his presidential bid on March 16, 1968.  Tragically, it was not meant to be. While addressing his supporters at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles and celebrating a win in the California primary, Kennedy was shot three times by assassin Sirhan Sirhan.  Sirhan, a Palestinian immigrant with Jordanian citizenship who moved to the United States as a child, reportedly said, “I did it for my country” after shooting Kennedy, according to Encyclopedia Britannica.  CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER Kennedy succumbed to his injuries on June 6, 1968.  He was 42.  Kennedy was survived by his wife, Ethel Skakel, and his 11 children. Taylor Swift returns to Rio stage after postponing Eras Tour concert, fan death

Taylor Swift returns to Rio stage after postponing Eras Tour concert, fan death

Taylor Swift resumed The Eras Tour Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after postponing a concert amid a dangerous heatwave and the death of a fan. During Sunday’s show, Swift performed “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” as one of her surprise songs, what fans speculated could be a tribute to Ana Clara Benevides Machado who died Friday before Eras kicked off. The “Cruel Summer” singer postponed her concert the night before due to “extreme temperatures.” On Friday morning, the apparent temperature — a combination of temperature and humidity — was recorded at 138 F, the highest index ever recorded in the area.  “I’m writing this from my dressing room at the stadium. The decision has been made to postpone tonight’s show due to extreme temperatures in Rio. The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers and crew has to and will always come first,” Swift wrote.  TAYLOR SWIFT ‘DEVASTATED’ AS FAN DIES BEFORE BRAZIL CONCERT Swift, 33, is scheduled to perform in São Paulo on Nov. 24-26, and rain is likely in the forecast for the remaining three shows of the year. She’ll pick up the tour with dates in Japan in 2024. Prior to canceling Saturday’s concert, Taylor admitted her heart was “shattered” upon hearing about the death of a fan who fainted at the stadium and later died at a local hospital. TAYLOR SWIFT POSTPONES BRAZIL CONCERT DUE TO ‘EXTREME TEMPERATURES’ A DAY AFTER FAN DIES AT SHOW “I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” she wrote on Instagram before opening night.  “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.” CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER Ana Clara Benevides Machado was later identified as the fan who died on Swift’s opening night of The Eras Tour. The 23-year-old fainted at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium and later died. Her cause of death is currently unknown. Swift continued, “I’m not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it.  “I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil.” LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS Following Machado’s death, Rio’s mayor, Eduardo Paes, Rio’s mayor, ordered actions against The Era’s Tour production.  “The loss of a young woman’s life yesterday at the show in Engenhão is unacceptable. Obviously, we are still finding out more details about the circumstances of what happened,” the mayor began on X, formerly known as Twitter. “In any case, I have already ordered the municipality’s Executive Chief of Operations to demand action with the production of the show.” Social media users shared videos of Swift singing “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” on Sunday from her “Midnights” album, with lyrics including, “Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, You were bigger than the whole sky. You were more than just a short time.” Fans have speculated Swift could return home for Thanksgiving to be with Travis Kelce, but it’s less likely that they’ll be together with his packed NFL schedule and her tour dates.

Netanyahu slams Palestinian Authority for denying that Hamas carried out massacre at Israeli music festival

Netanyahu slams Palestinian Authority for denying that Hamas carried out massacre at Israeli music festival

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday slammed the Palestinian Authority for denying that the terrorist group Hamas was responsible for the Oct. 7 massacre at a music festival in Israel that killed hundreds of attendees. The Sunday night address came in response to an official statement from the Palestinian Authority that blamed “Israeli helicopters” for the death of hundreds of participants of the Supernova music festival near kibbutz Re’im. The claim, echoed by Hamas, appeared to reference a report from Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper, which said that an Israel Defense Forces helicopter had accidentally hit festival-goers while firing at terrorists. NSC LEADER CLAIMS US ‘CLOSER’ THAN EVER TO HOSTAGE DEAL DESPITE ONGOING HAMAS STANDOFF But the report, which cited senior Israeli security officials, did not say the helicopters were responsible for all deaths at the massacre. Fox News Digital has reached out to the reporter for comment. “Today, the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah said something utterly preposterous. It denied that it was Hamas that carried out the horrible massacre at the nature festival near Gaza. It actually accused Israel of carrying out that massacre. This is a complete reversal of truth,” Netanyahu said in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter. Some 1,200 people were killed in Israel on the day of the surprise Hamas assault. Around 240 hostages were dragged into Gaza by Hamas and remain held there. Israel declared war in response, and more than 11,500 Palestinians have been killed in the past six weeks as the Israeli military conducts a punishing air and ground offensive in Gaza, where Hamas militants have ruled for the past 16 years. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

‘Shock therapy’ libertarian candidate Javier Milei, who ran as outsider, wins Argentine presidential election

‘Shock therapy’ libertarian candidate Javier Milei, who ran as outsider, wins Argentine presidential election

Argentinians have elected as their next president Javier Milei, a self-described anarcho-capitalist whose sensational rhetoric has drawn comparisons to former U.S. President Donald Trump.  Partial election results showed Milei had 55.8% and Massa 44.2%, with 95% of the votes tallies. Should that margin hold, it would be wider than predicted by all polls and the widest since Argentina’s return to democracy in 1983. On the campaign trail, Milei, with his wild hair and inflammatory rhetoric, pledged economic shock therapy and to slash the size of the state. He’s also indicated he would move the Argentine embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem – paralleling another move by the Trump administration. Milei’s victory comes amid a nationwide wave of deep discontent and rising poverty. His opponent, Economy Minister Sergio Massa of the Peronist party, conceded defeat and congratulated Milei. Argentine has been dealing with crippling inflation – above 140% – and poverty has worsened while Massa Massa’s campaign cautioned Argentinians that his libertarian opponent’s plan to eliminate key ministries and otherwise sharply curtail the state would threaten public services, including health and education, and welfare programs many rely on. Massa also drew attention to his opponent’s often aggressive rhetoric and openly questioned his mental acuity. PINK FLOYD’S ROGER WATERS DENIED HOTEL RESERVATIONS IN SOUTH AMERICA AFTER ANTISEMITISM ACCUSATIONS Milei accused Massa and his allies of running a “campaign of fear” and he walked back some of his most controversial proposals, such as loosening gun control. In his final campaign ad, Milei looks at the camera and assures voters he has no plans to privatize education or health care. Milei’s rhetoric resonated widely with Argentines angered by their struggle to make ends meet. The election forced many to decide which of the two they considered to be the least bad choice. Underscoring the bitter division this campaign has brought to the fore, Milei received both jeers and cheers on Friday night at the legendary Colón Theater in Buenos Aires. “We’re starting a new chapter in Argentina,” Massa told journalists Sunday after casting his ballot. “This chapter requires not only goodwill, intelligence and capability but above all, dialogue and the necessary consensus for our homeland to traverse a much more virtuous path in the future.” The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.

49ers take down Buccaneers as Christian McCaffrey finds the end zone once more

49ers take down Buccaneers as Christian McCaffrey finds the end zone once more

Brock Purdy threw a 76-yard strike to Brandon Aiyuk for one of his three touchdown passes, and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-14 on Sunday. Purdy also threw a 4-yard TD pass to Christian McCaffrey and a three-yarder to George Kittle to help the 49ers (7-3) post a second straight lopsided win following a three-game losing streak. Baker Mayfield threw a TD pass for Tampa Bay (4-6), but the Bucs had no answers defensively against Purdy and the 49ers and lost for the fifth time in six games. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Purdy finished 21 for 25 for 333 yards and became the first Niners quarterback ever to post a perfect passer rating in a game with at least 20 attempts. For the second straight week, the 49ers broke the game open with a big pass play from Purdy on the opening drive of the second half. He connected on a 66-yarder to Kittle on the second play of the third quarter last week to help fuel a 34-3 win at Jacksonville and then topped that this week. 49ERS’ CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY JOKES ABOUT MISSING OUT ON NFL RECORD: ‘YEAH, I SUCK’ The Niners forced a punt by the Bucs on the opening drive of the third quarter and were backed up to their own 2 following a perfectly placed punt by Jake Camarda. A short run by McCaffrey and a 21-yard pass to Kittle moved the ball out to the 24 and Purdy struck from there. He lofted a deep throw down the sideline to Aiyuk, who beat Jamel Dean for the catch and ran it in from there for the score that made it 20-6. Purdy then led another scoring drive on the next possession capped by the pass to Kittle to make it a 21-point lead. The Niners held on from there, thanks in part to rookie Ji’Ayir Brown breaking up a fourth-down pass in the end zone and intercepting another throw to the end zone on back-to-back drives in the fourth quarter. BAKER VS. BOSA The rivalry between Mayfield and Niners edge rusher Nick Bosa that dates back to college when Mayfield planted a flag at midfield at Ohio State following an Oklahoma win had some new developments. Mayfield raised his arms triumphantly after blocking Bosa on a 6-yard end-around run by Trey Palmer. But Bosa got revenge on the next official play when he combined with Fred Warner on a sack of Mayfield that led to a lost fumble. INJURIES Buccaneers: Dean (foot, ankle) left the game in the third quarter after the TD by Aiyuk and didn’t return. … CB Carlton Davis (hip) and LB Lavonte David (groin) also left in the second half and didn’t return. 49ers: S Talanoa Hufanga injured a knee in the second half and didn’t return. He was taken to the locker room on a cart. UP NEXT Buccaneers: Visit Indianapolis on Sunday. 49ers: Visit Seattle on Thursday night.

Bakhtiari’s take became a hot-button topic on X, and he replied to a few people who asked him about his take or criticized him for it. FROM OUTKICK: JOE BURROW DONE FOR SEASON AS AFC NORTH LOSES SECOND STARTING QUARTERBACK THIS WEEK “Sloppy play all over the field. Poor execution. It’s like ‘nails on a chalk board’ for my eyes when I watch it. There (sic) not all bad,” he wrote in response to a question about why he thinks college football is hard to watch. “But I’d say there’s a handful of college games I’ve actually enjoyed watching each year. Everything else is….terrible.” COWBOYS’ DARON BLAND TIES NFL RECORD WITH ANOTHER PICK 6 IN WIN OVER PANTHERS Former NFL linebacker Will Compton also took issue with Bakhtiari’s remark, saying on X, “Looks like he played college football since he’s wearing an NFL jersey and I’d bet a billion dollars he never had a winning season wherever he played with a tweet like this.” “Some people just like inferior products. College football is an inferior product,” Bakhtiari said in response. “A lot of people have a tough time accepting this. And would rather fight and hide in places that make them feel comfortable and shared by the majority. You’ll wake up someday @_willcompton.” It wasn’t clear if there was a specific game Bakhtiari was watching that sparked his social media remark. California ‘manny’ gets life in prison for molesting 16 boys, one as young as 2

California ‘manny’ gets life in prison for molesting 16 boys, one as young as 2

A self-proclaimed “manny” who served as a male nanny for families in Southern California will spend the rest of his life behind bars for sexually assaulting 16 boys in his care, according to a release from the district attorney’s office.  Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, 34, of Costa Mesa, was sentenced Friday to 705 years to life plus two years and eight months for the sexual assaults and showing pornography to another young boy he intended to sexually assault.  Zakrzewski filmed many of these sexual assaults, the district attorney’s office said. The boys’ ages ranged between two and 12 years old. The crimes were committed between 2014 and 2019.  Laguna Beach police arrested Zakrzewski on May 17, 2019, at a local airport after he deplaned an international flight.  After criminal charges were filed, authorities appealed to the public for help in locating other potential victims. Video evidence and tips from the public helped investigators identify additional victims and file additional charges against Zakrzewski.  SEX-CRAZED PRISON GUARDS HELD JACUZZI ORGIES; 1 REFUSED TO WORK BEFORE INTERCOURSE: REPORT Zakrzewski had dubbed himself “the original Sitter Buddy” on the namesake website he helped create. The website offered to connect parents in Orange County with prospective caregivers. Zakrzewski characterized himself as a “manny” who offered mentorships, big brother relationships and overnight and vacation babysitting.  He also specified that he was skilled with children with special needs and behavioral problems.  “At a very early age, I discovered what a joy it was to work with children and be a positive impact in their lives through the ‘Buddy Program’ at my middle school,” read his profile, which has since been taken down from the site. “Now, I’m a career manny and my 6+ years childcare experience spans from ages 3 months to 14, including special needs… I think the reason I connect easily with kids is because I am not just there to supervise, I participate.” A jury convicted Zakrzewski on 34 felonies.  “This is a case of shattered innocence and precious childhoods that were robbed from 17 little boys. These children will never know the people they were truly intended to be – because their childhoods were suddenly and inexplicably interrupted not by a wolf at the door, but by a predator masquerading as godsend,” Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement.  Fox News Digital’s Christina Coulter contributed to this report.

Tommy DeVito picks up first career win as Giants’ defense picks off Sam Howell 3 times

Tommy DeVito picks up first career win as Giants' defense picks off Sam Howell 3 times

Sam Howell threw three interceptions among six Commanders turnovers, and Washington may have reached the low point of Ron Rivera’s tenure with a 31-19 home loss Sunday to the last-place New York Giants. The Commanders (4-7) lost to the Giants (3-8) for the second time this season, this time to undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito, who picked up his first NFL win in his second start. Washington has lost seven of nine since opening with back-to-back victories, falling out of the playoff race despite a mediocre field of teams competing for three NFC wild-card spots. After a late comeback bid was ended by Isaiah Simmons picking off Howell and returning it 54 yards for a touchdown with 16 seconds left, Rivera’s future, and that of the entire coaching staff and front office, is now squarely in the forefront in the first season since Josh Harris’ ownership group bought the team. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Favored by more than a touchdown, the Commanders fumbled in nearly every possible way: Logan Thomas after a catch, Byron Pringle on a kickoff return and Chris Rodriguez Jr. on a run. Inexplicable picks by Howell — lauded by players and coaches in recent weeks as the franchise’s potential QB of the future — came in the first and fourth quarters. The giveaways made it impossible for Washington to get back into the game against New York, which scored a first-quarter TD for the first time all season. The Giants never trailed and won for the first time since Oct. 22, when they beat the Commanders 14-7 at the Meadowlands. Down the East Coast, the result was the same even with DeVito stepping in for injured backup Tyrod Taylor. The 25-year-old third-stringer who still lives with his family in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, completed 18 of 26 passes for 246 yards and three TD passes: two to Saquon Barkley and one to Darius Slayton. AARON RODGERS’ RETURN DATE FOR JETS ‘MOST LIKELY’ COMING IN WEEK 16: REPORT The Giants dominated despite allowing DeVito to be sacked nine times and rushing for zero yards as a team in the first half. The defense stepped up, with Nick McLeod forcing a fumble and making his first interception among the big plays by the unit. Howell was also sacked four times in a back-to-earth game for the second-year pro who entered with the most passing yards in the league. He threw a late 8-yard TD pass to Jahan Dotson and led another drive to the New York 48 before his third interception sealed it. EJECTIONS Commanders safety Xavier McKinney shoved Howell out of bounds after officials had signaled a touchdown on his run in the second quarter. That set off a melee in the corner, leading to the ejections of Cor’Dale Flott and Commanders receiver Curtis Samuel. INJURIES Giants: Slayton was ruled out early in the second half with a right arm injury. … OT Evan Neal (ankle) and CB Adoree Jackson (concussion) were out for a second consecutive week. Commanders: DE Efe Obada was carted off with a right leg injury six plays in. … RB Antonio Gibson was inactive because of a toe injury. DE James Smith Williams and FB Alex Armah were out because of hamstring injuries. UP NEXT Giants: Host the New England Patriots next Sunday. Commanders: Visit Dallas on Thursday for the Cowboys’ annual Thanksgiving Day home game.

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter dead at 96

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter dead at 96

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter died with her family by her side at her home in Plains, Georgia on Sunday, according to a statement by The Carter Center. She was 96. The wife of the 39th President of the United States died after she was admitted to hospice care on Friday.  “Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” President Carter said. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”  She is survived by her husband, her four children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. ROSALYNN CARTER CELEBRATES 96TH BIRTHDAY WITH HUSBAND JIMMY CARTER, PEANUT BUTTER ICE CREAM AND BUTTERFLIES Born Eleanor Rosalynn Smith on Aug. 18, 1927, in Plains, Georgia, she was the oldest of four children in the family of Allethea Murray Smith and Wilburn Edgar Smith.  When she was 13, her father died and her mother became a dressmaker to help support her family. Carter worked alongside her mother and helped take care of her young siblings.  After completing high school, she enrolled in Georgia Southwestern College at Americus. In 1945, after her freshman year, she first dated Jimmy Carter, who was home from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland.  “She’s the girl I want to marry,” President Carter reportedly told his mother after his first date with Rosalynn Smith, who had grown up as a friend and neighbor of the Carter family in Plains.  The couple married in July 1946.  JIMMY CARTER HAD ONE OF THE ‘GREATEST SECOND ACTS’ IN AMERICAN HISTORY, CONSERVATIVE HISTORIAN SAYS A biography of Carter credited to the White House Historical Association describes her “quiet, friendly manner” which made her “an effective campaigner” for her husband. As first lady of Georgia and later the United States, Carter worked tirelessly to create what she called “a more caring society,” a biography by The Carter Center, a nonprofit she and Jimmy Carter co-founded in 1982, notes. JIMMY CARTER, LONGEST LIVING US PRESIDENT, TURNS 99 “An activist first lady with her own bold agenda, she created a distinct East Wing office from which she set about helping disadvantaged people. Her efforts challenged age discrimination for older adults, encouraged opportunities for people with developmental disabilities, and advanced women’s equality,” the Center states. “Above all, she devoted herself to improving treatment and services for those coping with mental health conditions, a cause she adopted when her husband was governor and that remained her priority for the rest of her life,” the Center says. Her family announced that Carter was diagnosed with dementia in May 2023. She spent her final days with her husband and family.

Patrick Mahomes approves of Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift: ‘It’s not become a distraction’

Patrick Mahomes approves of Travis Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift: 'It's not become a distraction'

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gave his opinion on favorite target Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift, and he admits the added attention hasn’t become a distraction in the locker room. With Swift attending Chiefs games this season, creating a massive influx of attention, every Kansas City game feels like the Super Bowl. But Mahomes doesn’t view things that way. “I don’t think it feels any different,” he told ESPN. “People see the whole Taylor Swift and Travis [relationship], and they make it a huge deal because it is a huge deal. I think it becomes a bigger deal to the fan bases than it does to the guys that are actually in the building.” CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Mahomes, who called Kelce his “brother” in the segment while explaining how close his family is to the Kelces now, has gotten the chance to get to know Swift. “I’ve been lucky enough to meet Taylor and see how good of a person she is,” Mahomes said. “I think you can understand why it’s not become a distraction or anything like that because everybody cares about being the best they can be every day.” TRAVIS KELCE ISSUES APOLOGY TO TAYLOR SWIFT’S DAD SCOTT AFTER CONCERT FLUB The Chiefs are coming off their bye week during which Kelce took the trip to Argentina to see Swift open her international dates on her Eras Tour in Buenos Aires. Swift and Kelce went viral as the former ran up to the latter after her concert and shared a kiss before walking offstage. But now it’s back to football as the Chiefs enter a Super Bowl rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles in Kansas City on Monday night. Kelce will face his older brother, Jason Kelce, as these two teams are once again primed to make playoff runs toward another hopeful Super Bowl. Mahomes discussed what this matchup means for them coming off the bye. “Playing on Monday night, it’s going to be about as close to a Super Bowl-type feel that you can have playing against another great team that we just played in the Super Bowl last year,” he said. “We get to see where we’re at as an offense, as a defense and as an entire team. The biggest thing is you get to see how guys respond under the lights. I think that’s what gets you ready for playoffs and Super Bowl games.” There was hope that Swift would be present for this game at GEHA Field, but her postponed concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from Saturday is this Monday. Still, “Swifties” have gravitated to Kelce and the Chiefs this season, joining a rabid Kansas City fan base that is looking to move to 8-2 on the year with a win.
