Jewish students who witnessed the massive anti-Israel protests in New York City on Monday offered strong messages of support for the Israeli people and spoke out against antisemitism on college campuses.Sam, a student at New York University (NYU), told Fox News Digital that he and his Jewish friends were “completely engulfed” by anti-Israel protesters within 20 minutes of arriving at Washington Square Park.Sam and his fellow Jewish students were not harmed during the event, and they thanked the New York Police Department (NYPD) for keeping them safe.During the “Within Our Lifetime” protest at the park, anti-Israel demonstrators engaged in chants that called for Israeli citizens to “go back home” and criticized Jewish students when they gathered to sing Hebrew hymns.ONE YEAR AFTER 10/7 ATTACKS AND DEMOCRAT-RUN STATES HAVE LET ANTISEMITISM FESTERPolice in the area successfully kept the opposing protest groups at bay, often breaking up tense arguments and erecting barricades to separate them. During one tense exchange, two anti-Israel protesters held up an Israeli flag to Jewish students before placing it on the ground. They proceeded to stomp and kick the flag a few feet from one of the barricades.Later, an anti-Israel protester repeatedly blew a loud air horn into the face of a Jewish student, who eventually put on noise-canceling headphones to drown out the sound.Sam told Fox News Digital that he feels heard and respected at NYU. However, he noted that feeling does not hold true outside the classroom.”That doesn’t reflect 100 feet out of the classroom up to the park or when I’m walking,” he said. “If I have any Jewish symbols on – on Friday nights I wear a Kippah. I’m yelled at. More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza during the war, according to the Associated Press.

Israel was once again hit by a suspected terror attack on Wednesday, as a knife-wielding motorist ran rampant across the coastal city of Hadera, putting eight people in the hospital. The stabbing took place as rockets landed in a city in Israel’s northeastern region, killing two people.ISRAEL’S MINISTER OF DEFENSE CANCELS VISIT TO PENTAGON AMID MIDDLE EAST CONFLICT ESCALATIONIt is unclear at this time if any others were injured in the attack on the border city.Though farther south on Israel’s north-central coastline, a knife-bearing terrorist took off on a moped in Hadera, hitting four different parts of the city and wounding eight people in a stabbing attack.According to the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, the eight people injured in the rampage were being treated, including one victim who is in “grave condition” and one in “critical condition.” Four of the victims were described as in “moderate condition,” while another was “lightly injured.” An eighth individual was also hospitalized for anxiety. The suspect, who was eventually subdued by armed residents until the police arrived on the scene, according to an initial report by the Times of Israel, was identified as an Israeli-Arab man from the city of Umm el-Fahm, located near the border with the West Bank, and was previously known to police for other criminal activities. NETANYAHU CONFIRMS NASRALLAH’S REPLACEMENT DEAD: ‘THOUSANDS OF TERRORISTS’ KILLEDThe hospital said in an update that the suspect had been shot and wounded, and a video posted to X showed armed residents firing into the sky before one shot at the suspect, potentially hitting him, while others yelled at him to get onto the ground. The Times of Israel reported that once police arrived on the scene, they pushed the suspect to the ground and yelled at the civilians standing nearby not to shoot. The attacks across Israel come as the Jewish nation finds itself embroiled in multiple conflicts with Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Biden are expected to hold a call Wednesday to discuss Israel’s anticipated retaliatory attack against Iran following its massive missile strike on Israel last week, reported Israeli news outlets. The Biden administration has grown increasingly frustrated with Israel over its withholding of security details and had previously urged it not to launch an incursion into Lebanon against Hezbollah over concerns it could prompt a broader regional war. The White House has urged Israel not to hit Iranian nuclear or oil facilities and to keep its retaliation “proportionate,” though the administration has not specified what this type of attack would look like.

Lisa Marie Presley wrote about her opioid addiction in her posthumous memoir, “From Here To The Great Unknown.”In the book, Presley – who passed away in January 2023 from a small bowel obstruction – explained that she became hooked on painkillers after the birth of her twins in 2008 and was taking an alarming amount of pills a day at the height of her addiction.”It escalated to eighty pills a day. It took more and more to get high, and I honestly don’t know when your body decides it can’t deal with it anymore. But it does decide this at some point,” Presley, the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, wrote.LISA MARIE PRESLEY HAD SON BENJAMIN’S BODY IN HER HOUSE FOR 2 MONTHS AFTER HE DIEDShe continued, “I believe that we’re all born innocent, and that everyone’s nature is innately good, but they get f—ed by their surroundings. And I believe that my brain is different, that I am an addict. Otherwise, I would have had all those years in between being a stupid teenager to suddenly getting a drug habit at forty.”Presley explained that she started taking the pills for “recreational” purposes, but it quickly became “an absolute matter of addiction.””If I had fully run out of drugs, the severity of the withdrawal would have left me either in the hospital or dead. My blood pressure would shoot up so high,” she wrote.Presley’s daughter, Riley Keough, was also an author of the posthumous memoir. “My mother had started by taking opioids for pain after her C-section, and then she progressed to taking them to sleep,” Keough wrote.”She had turned forty in February 2008; my sisters were born in that same year (I would turn twenty the following May),” she continued. “After her brief stint with drugs as a teenager she never touched them again. She drank, but, like she said, as an adult she wouldn’t even take Advil or Tylenol.”Keough, 35, explained that her mother often warned her of the dangers of dabbling with drugs. “Throughout my life she would often say ‘if I tried drugs, it would be over for me.’ I see now that that was such a strong hint to an addiction issue she had an intuition about,” she wrote. “I think it was subconscious, but it stalked her. She had been holding it back with Scientology, with raising children, with marriages, with spirituality. But it was there, like a shadow, the whole time. She wasn’t done with her program. I remember worrying that it was a way to stay on medication a little bit longer. A Baptist pastor in Missouri’s Ozarks was issued a $30,000 bond after spending two years in jail for allegedly shooting his wife’s lover. Matthew Dedmon, now 49, shot 57-year-old Joe Newburn multiple times in the chest on May 28, 2022 after he allegedly spotted the other man with his wife in a car outside the Iguana Roja Restaurante in the Ozark Courthouse Square Historic District, Ozarks First reported. Dedmon had suspected Newburn was having an affair with his wife, the outlet reported.Newburn died the next day at Cox South Hospital, the Ozark Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.The Heritage Baptist Church pastor was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. For two years, he had been kept behind bars without bond. JUDGE RULES MISSOURI SEX OFFENDERS NO LONGER NEED TO POST WARNING SIGNS OUTSIDE THEIR HOMES ON HALLOWEENIn September 2022, Judge Laura Johnson wrote that letting Dedmon out on bond would put the public in “grave danger.””The evidence is that Defendant possessed a loaded gun on the square in Ozark outside a busy restaurant, and that gun was discharged three to four times, resulting in the victim’s death. This put everyone on the square in grave danger,” Johnson wrote in her decision, obtained by Law & Crime. “There was evidence that this conduct was out of character for Defendant, which causes concern about Defendant’s decision-making and judgment.””The seriousness of the charge increases the risk that Defendant will not appear,” she continued. “For these reasons, the Court will detain Defendant without bond.”For two years, Dedmon’s attorneys and state attorneys clashed in a legal fight over a “motion to endorse” witnesses and discovery. MISSING MISSOURI MOTHER’S REMAINS FOUND 6 MONTHS AFTER MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCEHowever, on Oct. 1, the judge granted Dedmon $30,000 bond, provided that he wear a GPS monitoring device and remain on house arrest. According to a defense filing seeking his release on bond, Dedmon’s attorneys argued that the state’s slowness to endorse witnesses violated their client’s rights under Missouri’s constitution. “This case has been pending for well over two years. Counsel for Defendant has worked diligently during that time to ready this case for trial. Just as Counsel for Defendant believed that depositions were concluded (as she had deposed all endorsed witnesses) and the matter was finally ready to set for trial, the State filed its motion to endorse, [redacted],” the filing read.”The Defendant adamantly opposes this motion to endorse. However, the Defendant submits that should the Court grant the State’s motion to endorse, in whole or in part, that the Defendant should be granted release on bond due to the State’s inexcusable act of late endorsements, which if allowed, will cause an inevitable lengthy delay of the Defendant’s trial.”TWO MEN ARRESTED IN MISSOURI AFTER POLICE DISCOVER 5 ADULTS, 7 CHILDREN IN BACK OF U-HAUL: REPORTSChristian County Prosecuting Attorney Kristen Tuohy could not be immediately reached for comment. As of Wednesday morning, Christian County Jail records did not indicate that the pastor had been released.
