Hurricane Helene forces Broncos to practice on indoor tennis courts in West Virginia resort

With the Denver Broncos playing back-to-back games on the East Coast, they opted to stay on the right side of the country. However, with Hurricane Helene in the area, they were right in the storm’s path. The team has been staying at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, which has two grass fields and a turf field outdoors.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe storm, of course, made practicing outside impossible, but with roughly 48 hours before their game against the New York Jets, they had to improvise. So, the team was forced to run a practice on indoor tennis courts.”Everything went good … we got our work done,” Broncos coach Sean Payton said. ” … The change was made relative to the lightning forecast.”COWBOYS’ ALREADY-DEPLETED DEFENSE HIT WITH MORE INJURIES TO STAR RUSHERSWide receiver Josh Reynolds says he has actually practiced on basketball courts and in ballrooms in the past, “but this is a first time on a tennis court.”Denver is coming off an impressive win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, their first of the season after losing their first pair of games. The storm affected other leagues as well. Two games between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets were postponed to a doubleheader on Monday that could determine who goes into the postseason. Saturday’s game between Appalachian State and Liberty was also canceled, while a preseason NHL game was postponed.Remnants of the storm figure to be in the New Jersey area on Sunday, as the Jets will look for their third straight win after losing their season opener to the San Francisco 49ers. Follow Fox News Digital’s sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Doug Emhoff tells MSNBC Trump is ‘putting a target’ on backs of Jewish people

Doug Emhoff tells MSNBC Trump is 'putting a target' on backs of Jewish people

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff agreed with MSNBC host Jen Psaki that former President Trump was “putting a target on the backs of Jewish Americans.”In a preview for an interview airing on MSNBC on Sunday, Emhoff told the former Biden White House press secretary that he was bothered by Trump’s recent remarks at a Jewish event in Washington, where the Republican nominee warned Jewish American voters against supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, Emhoff’s wife, in the upcoming election. In those comments, Trump told Jewish voters, who’ve traditionally supported the Democratic Party, that they would be partly responsible if he lost in November. “What really bothered me a week or so ago was when Trump got up at an event, an event purporting to fight antisemitism, and he said vile antisemitic things,” Emhoff told Psaki. “Tropes that are just terrible. We have to speak out every single time when something like that happens.”TRUMP SUGGESTS HE COULD WIN 50% OF JEWISH VOTE IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION SHOWDOWN AGAINST HARRIS”When you hear him say things like that, and he said that if he doesn’t win it will be essentially the fault of Jewish Americans,” Psaki said.”Blame the Jews. One of the oldest tropes,” Emhoff lamented.Psaki followed up by asking him if he was worried that Trump was “putting a target on the backs of Jewish Americans,” to which Emhoff agreed. “He is. I mean, take him at his word,” he said.”[Trump] lies about a lot of things, but you have got to take him at his word on things like this. So yeah. This is a disgusting trope. The so-called dual loyalties. It is an outrage and it is not just Jewish people who should be outraged,” the Second Gentleman continued before arguing that every American needed to fight back against “antisemitism and hate.””Do you think he’s antisemitic when he says things like that?” Psaki asked. “You look at him and see the repetition of this type of words and language as antisemitic?” “Of course it is, and I said that publicly,” Emhoff replied. “Definitely.”DOUG EMHOFF ONLY ONE OF FOUR WHITE HOUSE PRINCIPALS TO CALL JEWISH STUDENTS INTIMIDATED BY PROTESTS: REPORTEmhoff was referring to Trump’s comments at the Israeli-American Council National Summit last week, in which he honored victims of the October 7 attacks and warned Jewish Americans there would be grave consequences if they didn’t support him in the November election.”My promise to Jewish Americans is this: With your vote, I will be your defender, your protector, and I will be the best friend Jewish Americans have ever had in the White House,” Trump said. “But in all fairness, I already am,” he added, Fox5 reported. The former president also warned Jewish voters that Israel would “cease to exist” in two years if Harris won the November election and said that Jewish voters who support Democrats need to get “[their] head examined.””If I don’t win this election – and Jewish people would have a lot to do with that, 60 percent are voting for the enemy – Israel will cease to exist in two years,” Trump said, according to The Hill. “I believe I’m 100 percent right…. If I do win, Israel will be safe and secure, and we’ll stop the toxic poison of antisemitism.”CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPTrump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded with this statement to Fox News Digital:”This is another example of inflammatory rhetoric coming from the Harris campaign that could result in more violence against Jewish people when antisemitism is already on the rise in America, as evidenced by the disgraceful anti-Semitic protests that erupted on college campuses on Kamala Harris’ watch. The truth is President Trump has done more for Jewish Americans and Israel than Kamala Harris ever has.”

NYC Mayor Eric Adams arrives to turn himself in to face charges in federal corruption case

NYC Mayor Eric Adams arrives to turn himself in to face charges in federal corruption case

New York Mayor Eric Adams arrived Friday at federal court in Manhattan to surrender to authorities after federal prosecutors announced a five-count indictment on fraud, bribery and corruption charges.Adams appeared before the judge shortly after 12 p.m. and pleaded not guilty. The FBI seized Adams’ phone on Thursday before the charges were made public, according to his attorney, but he was not immediately taken into custody. The mayor, 64, is accused of soliciting illegal campaign donations from foreign entities and falsifying paper trails to cover it up, according to a 57-page indictment unsealed Thursday. As part of the plot, he allegedly defrauded taxpayers for $10 million over the past decade and frequently took free or steeply discounted vacations bankrolled by his foreign benefactors.FEDS SEIZE ERIC ADAMS’ PHONE AFTER NYC MAYOR’S INDICTMENTAdams countered with a video statement saying any charges filed against him would be “entirely false, based on lies,” and insinuated that his criticism of the Biden administration’s disastrous border policies made him a target for retaliation.”The federal government did nothing as its broken immigration policies overloaded our shelter system with no relief,” he said in a video statement. “I put the people of New York before party and politics.”Investigators denied the claim that the case was political retaliation during a Thursday news briefing.Later, Adams held a news briefing alongside prominent supporters who asked for the public to allow due process to play out. Hecklers interrupted with a megaphone. The mayor is accused of one count of conspiracy to receive campaign contributions from foreign nationals and commit wire fraud and bribery, one count of wire fraud, two counts of soliciting campaign contributions from foreign nationals, and one count of soliciting and accepting a bribe. He could face up to 45 years in prison if convicted of all charges. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
