Six of the migrants who police say were part of a mob that viciously attacked two NYPD police officers in Times Square in January were offered plea deals on Tuesday — while it has also been revealed that one of the accused cop beaters was nabbed last week for stealing, according to the New York Post. The Jan. 27 caught-on-camera attack on a police lieutenant and officer sparked widespread condemnation, and it was followed by one of the suspects flipping two middle fingers at reporters’ cameras after he was released from police custody. On Tuesday, Yohenry Brito, 24, Ulises Bohorquez, 21, and Andres Gomez-Izquiel, 19, were offered plea deals by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office to serve a year in jail in exchange for pleading guilty to second-degree assault, the Post reports, citing the DA’s office.5 MIGRANTS WANTED FOR NYPD ATTACK CURRENTLY IN CUSTODY, 1 OTHER POSTS $15K BAILTwo other migrants charged in the cop attack, Kelvin Servita Arocha, 19, and Wilson Juarez, 21, have been offered a separate deal to serve six months in prison for pleading guilty to obstructing a government administration, while Yorman Reveron, 24, will get two years if he pleads guilty to second-degree assault.The defendants’ attorneys have not yet accepted the plea deals.The deals come as it was revealed that Brito was just nabbed for allegedly trying to steal children’s clothing and fragrances from Macy’s in Herald Square in Manhattan on Friday night, according to a criminal complaint seen by the Post.Judge Laura Wood blasted him in Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday.”I am furious that Mr. Brito was rearrested and charged with petty larceny while he was out on this case,” Wood fumed, according to the Post.She warned another crime would land him in prison.”I am very tempted right now to put you in jail. An offer has not yet been made to 20-year-old Edgarlis Vegas, the Post reports. In the Jan. 27 attack, the NYPD had asked the migrants to move, but a scuffle ensued as the officers were seen trying to subdue a person in a yellow jacket onto the ground. Police say one of the migrants stomped on a lieutenant’s head as the police officer tried to apprehend a suspect on the ground. The migrant then kicks the other officer in the back before returning and taking a kick at the lieutenant.Another migrant can also be seen taking a big swinging kick at the lieutenant’s head. The migrant falls to the ground as he tries to execute the kick.The video drew public outrage and led to calls for migrant deportations.

The much-anticipated cross-examination of Michael Cohen on Tuesday portrayed him as a Trump-hating liar who wants the former president in jail, and the answer was frequently some version of “I don’t recall.”Defense lawyer Todd Blanche jumped around as a way of keeping Cohen off balance. No one expects Trump (who gets to go to Barron’s high school graduation Friday) will testify, despite once insisting he would.Earlier, the prosecution spent the bulk of its time trying to inoculate Cohen against the coming cross-examination — letting its star witness put his spin on things before the Trump defense pounded him with the same material.Among other transgressions, Cohen admitted to lying to Congress about a proposed Moscow project, to stay with the president’s “Russia Russia Russia” hoax message. He admitted to lying to special counsel Robert Mueller after agreeing to “cooperate,” only telling the truth after facing the potential indictment. That cooperation, he said, came after FBI agents seized his electronic devices in an early-morning raid. He lied to the Wall Street Journal in early 2018, when it was reporting the Stormy Daniels hush money — which he knew to be false because, “I’m the one who paid it.” In each case, Cohen justified the falsehoods by saying he uttered them out of “loyalty” to Trump and to the “benefit” of Trump.Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow sent Cohen an encrypted Signal message: “Client says thanks for what you do.” The client, says Cohen, was Trump.STORMY ALLEGES ONE-NIGHT STAND WITH TRUMP, AGREED TO LIE FOR HER $130,000 PAYOFFCohen said that, at the insistence of his family, he decided that “I would not lie for President Trump anymore.” Pleading guilty was “the worst day of my life.”The next day, the president tweeted: “If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!” He was no longer on the team.In an obvious misstep, Cohen said he lied when he pleaded guilty. He later clarified that he meant he was guilty of some charges but not tax evasion. Cohen was fined $100,000 and sentenced to three years in prison, though released early during the pandemic.Alvin Bragg’s prosecutor did go on offense at the outset, as Cohen described the $420,000 in checks he received in 2017–while doing virtually nothing for the money but setting up the “false expenses” charge. He went through every invoice, every pay stub, describing each as a lie authorized by Trump. The president, he testified, had asked in an Oval Office meeting if he needed any money, telling him to work things out with the company’s since-convicted CFO.Cohen said he did “very minimal” work for Trump or his wife during 2017 — less than 10 hours.To prepare Cohen for questions about being motivated by money, prosecutor Susan Hoffinger had him acknowledge that once Trump named him his personal lawyer, he made $4 million advising clients who wanted to influence the new administration.In the end, Cohen said he had apologized to the country, to Congress and to his family. Colorado authorities recently announced that they’ve recovered massive invasive fish from a local pond – all thanks to a local fishing enthusiast.Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) published a press release about the discovery on Monday. Officials explained that an angler tipped them off to the presence of bighead carp in Jack B. Tomlinson Park in Arvada, Colorado, last week.”Acting on a tip from the public, CPW aquatic biologists pulled the fish from the pond and checked a neighboring body of water connected by a culvert for the nuisance species,” the CPW explained.Fourteen bighead carp were found in total – and all of them were hefty. All the fish were at least three feet long, and the heaviest was a whopping 46 pounds.ANGLER BREAKS 43-YEAR-OLD RECORD AFTER REELING IN LARGE PERCH IN LAKE MICHIGAN”Bighead carp, part of the Asian carp family, are not native to Colorado and negatively impact the overall ecosystem as they are prolific eaters,” CPW said in a statement. “They feed primarily upon plankton and compete with many native and sport fish species which depend on plankton as a food source.”The freshwater fish have such large appetites that they pose a significant burden to native species.”Bighead carp are filter feeders and can grow to incredible sizes in both small and large bodies of water,” CPW Invasive Species Program Manager Robert Walters explained in a statement. “Once established, these fish can outcompete native Colorado species for food and resources.”WOMAN IN OREGON REELS IN RECORD-BREAKING FISH: ‘VERY STRONG’Bighead carp were introduced in 1992 as part of a national study about reducing pond algae, the CPW explained – but even after being removed in 1995, the species persisted.CPW Northeast Region Public Information Officer Kara Van Hoose told Fox News Digital that it’s “highly unusual” to find bighead carp in Colorado waters.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER “Anglers should report anything strange they see while fishing to CPW,” Van Hoose advised. “This is a good example of what can happen to fish which don’t have any natural predators in the area and an endless supply of food.””The carp outcompeted any other species in the pond and negatively affected the pond’s overall aquatic health,” she added.In a social media post, CPW joked that “many Jaws jokes were made” about the discovery. The hunt is underway for a Sumatran tiger believed to have attacked a man in western Indonesia, killing him.

The victim was identified by CBS News as being 26 years old. He was found dead at a plantation in the Riau province on Sumatra island on Thursday afternoon with a missing right hand and bite wounds on his neck.Local authorities received a notification from two workers that their friend was screaming, and that, when they searched for him, all they saw were tiger tracks, CBS reported.”Our team has left this morning (to search for the tiger).
