FIRST ON FOX: The prosecutor from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office leading the questioning of adult film actress Stormy Daniels in former President Trump’s criminal trial had donated to President Biden’s campaign in 2020 and a number of other Democrat politicians and organizations over the years, Fox News Digital has learned. Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger questioned Daniels on Tuesday as she testified as part of the unprecedented criminal trial of a former U.S. president.Trump defense attorneys told Judge Juan Merchan on Tuesday afternoon that they would motion for a mistrial amid Daniels’ “prejudicial” testimony. Hoffinger said the claim was without basis, and Merchan ultimately denied the defense’s request. EX-TOP BIDEN DOJ OFFICIAL NOW PROSECUTING TRUMP WAS ONCE PAID BY DNC FOR ‘POLITICAL CONSULTING’Hoffinger’s donations to Biden came during the 2020 Democrat presidential primaries, Federal Election Commission records show. Hoffinger donated $500 to Biden’s presidential campaign in 2020: a donation of $250 in February 2020 and another donation of $250 in March 2020. She donated more than $900 to ActBlue during the 2020 cycle. ActBlue is an online fundraising platform for Democrat candidates, progressive organizations and nonprofits.The prosecutor also donated to a number of other Democrat congressional campaigns in 2020 and 2018. Hoffinger was hired by Bragg’s office in 2022 after the political contributions were made.The revelations come as Republicans investigate alleged politicization of the case against Trump.”Joe Biden’s witch hunt against President Donald Trump happening in New York City is blatant election interference,” House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik of New York told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. “The lead Democrat prosecutor is a donor to Joe Biden just like the judge.”BRAGG ‘ALLOWED POLITICAL MOTIVATIONS’ TO ‘INFECT’ PROSECUTION OF TRUMP, HOUSE JUDICIARY GOP SAYSMerchan donated $15 to Biden’s campaign in July 2020. He also made small donations to other Democrat groups in 2020.Stefanik told Fox News Digital that “Democrats know they cannot defeat President Trump at the ballot box and have resorted to a desperate lawfare campaign in hopes of saving Joe Biden.””The American people can see through this, and that is why President Trump will win come November,” Stefanik said. Fox News Digital first reported that another top prosecutor on Bragg’s team was paid by the Democratic National Committee for his “political consulting” work.Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo joined Bragg’s office after the resignations of Mark Pomerantz and Carey Dunne, the prosecutors who were investigating Trump and resigned in protest of Bragg’s initial unwillingness to indict the former president. Colangelo left a senior role at the Biden Justice Department to join Bragg’s team. Bragg afterward brought charges against the former president in April 2023, raising questions among some in the GOP about alleged politicization of the case.House Republicans are investigating Colangelo and his past work as he prosecutes Trump.According to Federal Election Commission records reviewed by Fox News Digital, DNC Services Corp/Democratic National Committee paid Colangelo twice on Jan. 31, 2018. Colangelo was given two payments of $6,000, for a total of $12,000.The “description” for the purpose of payment is labeled “Political Consulting.”Neither the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office nor the DNC responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment about Colangelo’s work.At the time, Colangelo was serving in then-New York Attorney General Eric Scheiderman’s office as the deputy attorney general for social justice, assuming the role from Bragg who, at the time, was appointed as chief deputy attorney general.Schneiderman resigned in May 2018 amid allegations of sexual assault. Barbara Underwood replaced him as New York attorney general.Just months after Colangelo received the payments from the DNC, in June 2018, Underwood, with Colangelo as executive deputy attorney general, filed a lawsuit against the Trump Foundation. The lawsuit alleged that Trump used the foundation’s charitable assets to pay off his legal obligations. Perez was DNC chair at the time Colangelo was paid for “political consulting.”TRUMP PROSECUTOR QUIT TOP DOJ POST FOR LOWLY NY JOB IN LIKELY BID TO ‘GET’ FORMER PRESIDENT, EXPERT SAYSColangelo also worked as a deputy assistant to then-President Obama and as the deputy director of the White House Economic Council.Bragg charged Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. Trump pleaded not guilty to all counts. A charge of falsifying business records is typically a misdemeanor, but Bragg, Colangelo and New York prosecutors must convince the jury that Trump falsified those records in the furtherance of “another crime.”Prosecutors suggest that the other crime was in violation of a New York State law: conspiracy to prevent or promote election. On its face, as a stand-alone offense, that charge is also typically a misdemeanor.Coupling the alleged falsification of business records with alleged prevention or promotion of election becomes a felony crime, according to Bragg.

Sen. You got to have a bold agenda for the future.”Sanders and Biden have enjoyed a close relationship for many years, according to some political advisors. “I know he felt that while there was a lot of hostility within the Democratic Party and in the top ranks … he felt warmth and positivity from Joe Biden,” Faiz Shakir, an advisor to Biden, said. Fox News Digital reached out to the Biden campaign for comment but has yet to receive a response.

And Western finance has basically said we will not be able to absorb this risk,” Hochstein said.The United States and Group of Seven (G7) nations as well as Australia, South Korea and Saudi Arabia must collaborate to unlock capital that would back up companies that currently are unwilling to take on projects in countries they deem risky to their reputations or assets, Hochstein said.The capital could flow through U.S. agencies like the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, Export-Import Bank of the United States and global institutions like the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.Those collaborations must offer countries incentives to improve their communities and quality of life, Hochstein said.”The government has a real role here of incentivizing private capital by taking more risk in this initial work, in a responsible manner, but more risk to allow the private sector to come in, augment it and allow the investment so that we have a diversified, sustainable and equitable energy transition,” Hochstein said.

Anti-Israel riots have spread to the Netherlands.In the early Tuesday morning hours, police arrested more than 120 people at an encampment erected at the University of Amsterdam. The sweeping arrest comes as demonstrations calling for the death of America and Israel have roiled campuses in the U.S. and now Europe.Police in the Dutch capital said the protests turned violent and that their action was “necessary to restore order” in a statement on X, formerly Twitter.Officers used batons and shields as they moved into the demonstration, beating some of the protesters and pulling down tents, video from the scene aired by national broadcaster NOS showed. Columbia University canceled graduation ceremonies thanks to the anti-Israel encampments that keep popping up like post-spring break UTIs. Now, protesters won’t get to throw their keffiyeh’s in the air and make the whole campus look like a Pizza Hut tablecloth. This after students demanded the school cancel finals and hand out passing grades so they wouldn’t be traumatized by the damage they themselves inflicted. Some revolutionaries. That’s like Che Guevara handing you the bill to have his beret dry-cleaned. But last week, somebody we’ve all been waiting for finally showed up. The adults. Remember them? They used to run things, not just pay for them. And what we saw was the battle between two forces – dad brain and internet brain. The internet brain is the kind that’s easily susceptible to crap on the internet. It’s kind of like wet brain but without the joy of earning it with Jack Daniel’s. Internet brain is campus brain, social media brain, and Karen brain all held together by outrage and sob snots. The dad brain is a response to that and says, “Fine, we’ve heard enough, now go do your homework.” And over the last few years, kids have been infected with internet brain, and now they’re unleashing it on us. Internet brain tells you you’re entitled to a world that matches your every desire. Internet brain tells you that abstract issues out there matter more than your responsibilities here. Internet brain tells you that instead of studying for finals, you should pitch a tent on your campus lawn, chant slogans about an ancient conflict you know less about than your actual major, then demand a passing grade anyway. And that if you do it loud enough, a nation of 9 million on the other side of the world will cease to exist. But, like, what happens when the babysitter lets you stay way past your bedtime, the fun and games are over when dad gets home, and he’s patient but not that patient. So it’s dad brain versus internet brain. And as everyone knows, after all the crying, screaming threats and demands, Dad’s going to win, kiddies. Dad brain lays down the law when nonsense gets out of hand. Meanwhile, internet brain has strong opinions on building a carbon-neutral tree fort written by people too weak to lift a hammer. Internet brain doesn’t focus your problems, it expands them by saying the world’s problems are yours. Dad brain says no, Hamas is not your beef, Mother’s Day is– get your mom a card and some flowers. The internet brain offers a big problem she can’t handle: climate change, the Middle East, global inequality. Dad brain knows that such obsessions create anxiety and says, save us the lecture on Marxism in Peru. Have you paid your phone bill? Internet brain also forces kids to compare their lives to others, generating envy that leads to mental anguish. Dad brain says I know Kelly and Ashley went to Aspen on spring break, but we’re going to your grandmothers. You know, that kind old lady who might not be here in a few years? Dad brain sees what the inner brain does to you. It makes you crazy, like a bad boyfriend. And dad brain is not so much enforcing discipline as calling ***. Most of these kids know their causes and commitment are all a show. It’s the equivalent of a school play in that it’s badly produced, it becomes boring and the parents aren’t so much enjoying it as they are tolerating it. In fact, many of them want dad brain to knock them into line. And so, after weeks of Hamas cosplay, who shows up? Yep, the adults. College officials like the president of USC who told the kidiess: fun’s over. As a result, USC has been cleared out twice with no injuries or riots, disappointing most of the media of course. ANTI-ISRAEL AGITATORS IN NYC SHOUT DOWN MAN WAIVING ISRAELI FLAG: ‘SHAME ON YOU!’Florida has a healthy supply of adults in charge too– where students were told their schools are “not a daycare.” That’s a dad brain. I’m surprised they also didn’t yell at them for touching the thermostat or threatened to turn this car around. Of course the cops were massive dad brain here. No shootings, no real injuries and the sort of patience only a dad could have with brats. So, looking out over the campus landscape now, it feels like dad brain is returning. Even SNL, a show that adapts as quickly as the Dodo, had to admit, dads are right to call BS on the protests.SNL SKITNot bad. At least the show’s heading in the unfamiliar direction of humor. So, as the internet brain condemns fossil fuels, we need dad to tell them to buy a car that’s good on gas. As internet brain tells them to eat bugs to save the Earth, dad brain has to tell them to finish their peas. And when internet brain says trans females should play in women’s sports, dad brain says cool, let’s arm wrestle for the keys to your car. See, dad brain’s not just a party pooper obsessed with consequences. That dad loves his kids enough to make sure they stop embarrassing themselves in public because the choice is between dad brains or no brains at all.
