‘Cheers’ star Ted Danson apologizes to Kelsey Grammer for heated argument: ’Missed out on the last 30 years’

'Cheers' star Ted Danson apologizes to Kelsey Grammer for heated argument: ’Missed out on the last 30 years’

Ted Danson is hashing things out with “Cheers” co-star Kelsey Grammer.

During a recent episode of the “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” podcast, Danson, 76, expressed regret after he kept his distance from Grammer, 69, for decades after a heated argument. “This isn’t self-deprecating, but it’s — I feel like I got stuck a little bit with you during the ‘Cheers’ years. I have a memory of getting angry at you once,” Danson told Grammer. ‘CHEERS’ STARS TED DANSON, WOODY HARRELSON ONCE DITCHED WORK TO DO ‘AN EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT OF MUSHROOMS’The “Frasier” star replied, “Yeah, you came and told me that one day.””And it’s stuck in both of our memories,” Danson added. “But I feel like, f—, I don’t know. I missed out on the last 30 years of Kelsey Grammer. … I feel like it’s my bad, my doing.”I apologize to you. And [to] me that I sat back. … I really do apologize.”WATCH: TED DANSON EXPLAINS WHY A ‘CHEERS’ REUNION ISN’T LIKELYGrammer smiled and accepted Danson’s apology. After Grammer thanked Danson, he shared an old conversation he took away from their friendship. “You said something wonderful to me though, too, that I’ve always, I quote to other people,” Grammer remarked. TED DANSON SHARES WHY FIRST EPISODE OF ‘CHEERS’ BROUGHT HIM TO TEARS”When I turned 40, you came up and you said, ‘You know what it means, don’t you? Now that you’re 40, it means you’re finally worth having a conversation with.’”Harrelson joined in on the laugh and chimed in, “That’s good.””That was f—ing brilliant. I always loved that. And I’ve repeated it. And my love for you has always been as easy as the day. You know, as easy as the sunrise,” Grammer said as he grinned ear to ear. TED DANSON THROWS MORE COLD WATER ON HOPES FOR ‘CHEERS’ REUNION: ‘I THINK IT’D BE A LITTLE SAD’Although the “Cheers” co-stars didn’t detail what the argument was, it appeared to be water under the bridge.Reps for Danson and Grammer did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. Danson got his big break on “Cheers,” starring as bartender Sam Malone from 1982 to 1993.LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? ‘It’s huge’: Top Georgia election official makes explosive prediction about early voting turnout

'It's huge': Top Georgia election official makes explosive prediction about early voting turnout

Georgia’s top election official believes that half of the state’s voters will have already cast ballots by Election Day.Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger spoke with Fox News Digital late Tuesday afternoon, by which point more than one in four state residents had voted.”It’s huge. Almost every day has been a record breaker,” he told Fox News Digital. “If you look at the kind of turnout we’re having day after day… we’ll probably be at almost 4 million of early voting by the time we finish next Friday.””I think it is a testament that voters trust our systems here in Georgia,” he said.GEORGIA GOP CHAIR SHARES 2-PRONGED ELECTION STRATEGY AS TRUMP WORKS TO WIN BACK PEACH STATEAs of Wednesday afternoon, more than 2 million people had voted early in-person or absentee in Georgia. Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump’s campaigns have spent enormous time and resources in Georgia, a state the ex-president lost by less than 1% in 2020.Early voting there runs from Oct. 15 through Nov. 1.Raffensperger’s interview also came roughly an hour before the Georgia Supreme Court ruled against Republicans’ bid to reinstate a slate of new ballot security measures ahead of Election Day.The six rules included requirements for all machine-tabulated ballots to receive a hand count by county officials to ensure the totals matched, and a provision that only ballots deposited in drop boxes with video surveillance would be counted.GEORGIA DEMS CHAIR REVEALS MESSAGE TO UNDECIDED GOP VOTERS AS HARRIS WORKS TO BUILD BROAD BASESupporters of the bill, which included Republican Party officials, argued they were necessary guardrails to ensure voter confidence.Democrats blasted the rules as an effort to sow doubt and confusion in what’s expected to be a close election in Georgia.Raffensperger, however, was among several GOP state and county officials who also opposed the rules.”I think right now it really would cause major challenges because all the poll workers have been trained with the systems we have in place, which was really following state law,” Raffensperger told Fox News Digital.’ILLEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND VOID’: GEORGIA JUDGE STRIKES DOWN NEW ELECTION RULES AFTER LEGAL FIGHTSHe pointed to the Purcell principle, a precedent established by the Supreme Court that states the courts cannot change election rules too close to an election.”Well, we’re two and a half weeks away from Election Day. So when you think about how close we are to Election Day, it’s just too much, too late,” he said. The Georgia Supreme Court is expected to hear the Republican National Committee’s appeal in the suit but rejected its request for an expedited decision, meaning the prior ruling that deemed the measures “illegal, unconstitutional, and void” will remain in place through Election Day on Nov. 5.

Panthers name Bryce Young starter vs Broncos following Andy Dalton’s car crash

Panthers name Bryce Young starter vs Broncos following Andy Dalton's car crash

The Carolina Panthers are turning back to Bryce Young at quarterback after Andy Dalton, who took over in Week 2 for Young, was involved in a car crash on Tuesday. Head coach Dave Canales announced his quarterback move on Wednesday after Dalton did not practice despite not requiring emergency medical transport from the crash, which also involved his wife, children and dog. None of them needed emergency medical transport. The injury Dalton sustained, though, appears to be enough for the Panthers to turn back to their 2023 No. 1 overall pick, Young, who was benched after his disastrous first two starts this season. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMCanales added that the team will be evaluating Dalton throughout the week to see if he can back up Young on Sunday against the Denver Broncos on the road. Young began the year as the Panthers’ starter, hoping to improve on a woeful first year in the NFL as the Panthers went 2-15. PANTHERS QUARTERBACK ANDY DALTON INVOLVED IN CAR CRASH WITH FAMILY; NO ONE NEEDED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTBut the start to this season wasn’t any better. The Panthers were blown out by the New Orleans Saints, 47-10, where Young went 13-for-30 for 161 yards with no passing touchdowns and two interceptions. And the Los Angeles Chargers beat them 26-3, with Young only throwing for 86 yards with an interception. Before Week 3 against the Raiders, Canales benched Young in favor of the veteran Dalton, and it proved to be the right decision as Carolina’s only win this year was in Vegas. Dalton threw for 319 yards with three touchdowns in the 36-22 victory. The Panthers, though, refused to entertain any trade talks for Young, as they want him to continue to develop in hopes he can be more efficient when he returns to the starting role full-time. However, when situations like these arise with Dalton, Canales is going to have to get Young back in the saddle and ready for a formidable Broncos defense that has allowed the third-least yards per game and points per game so far this season. Canales said Young is excited to be back in the starting role. “He’s been an absolute stud through this whole process,” he said. “He’s been engaged and involved in what we’re doing, and so he’s excited about this opportunity. I’m fired up for him to have another opportunity to get in there and play some football.”Young is 2-16 in his young career as a starting quarterback for the Panthers. He will be facing off against Broncos rookie Bo Nix, who has seemingly improved with each week under Sean Payton’s offense in Denver. Follow Fox News Digital’s sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

DHS identifies hundreds of migrants with possible ties to bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang

DHS identifies hundreds of migrants with possible ties to bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang

The Department of Homeland Security is recommending more than 100 migrants that it has identified as having possible ties to a bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang be put on an FBI watchlist, Fox News confirmed Wednesday, after the agency flagged more than 600 with possible ties overall.NBC News first reported that DHS has identified more than 600 individuals with possible ties to Tren de Aragua, and that 100 of those are deemed “subjects of interests.” Fox has confirmed that it recommended they be placed on the FBI’s Watchlist for Transnational Criminal Organizations.Officials do not believe that all of the 600 migrants will be confirmed gang members, and that many will be relatives, victims or witnesses to crimes by the notorious gang members. Officials are making the gang a priority so it does not grow.WHO IS TREN DE ARAGUA? VICIOUS VENEZUELAN GANG ‘FOLLOWING IN THE PATH OF MS-13’ IN AMERICA The gang is believed to have started in the Tocoron prison in the Venezuelan state of Aragua and has since expanded into Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and the U.S. In a statement, DHS said that the identities emerged as part of an ongoing re-screening operation to tackle the gang. “As a part of our work to counter TdA, DHS has an ongoing operation to crack down on gang members through re-screening certain individuals previously encountered, in addition to the rigorous screening and vetting at the border,” a DHS spokesperson said. The agency said that those confirmed or suspected of being gang members will be either referred for prosecution or placed into expedited removal — a deportation process that allows for the quick removal of illegal immigrants. The statement stressed that those identified in the re-screening “include those already in custody, potential victims or witnesses who are not themselves suspected of being TdA members, and others who may not have any involvement in TdA at all.”There have been numerous crimes in the last year that have been linked to TdA, in states including Georgia, Illinois, Texas, Colorado and New York.NEW REPORT WARNS BLOODTHIRSTY VENEZUELAN GANG’S FOOTPRINT WILL REMAIN IN US ‘FOR DECADES’The gang is believed to have taken over apartment blocks in Aurora, Colorado, and authorities in New York City have warned that the gang is recruiting children and is linked to dozens of robberies in the sanctuary city. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has also sounded the alarm about the growth of the gang in his state.Federal immigration authorities announced last week that a confirmed TdA member was arrested in Houston for allegedly recruiting middle school students to become new gang members. But the gang’s presence has increased at the same time as a massive migration surge to the southern border, which included a significant number of Venezuelans. While border numbers have dropped sharply since June, the impact of that crisis is still being felt in communities across the U.S.Experts noted to NBC that the number of identified members is low and could represent a gap in intelligence. Venezuela does not share its databases with the U.S., and relations are frosty. Earlier this year, Venezuela stopped accepting deportation flights from the U.S.While authorities have put out warnings to Border Patrol agents about possible markers of the gang, they can be hard to identify, while others get past agents as gotaways.TdA has become an issue in the presidential election as well. Former President Donald Trump announced recently that he would invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to target and dismantle “every illegal migrant criminal network operating on American soil.” Trump said, if elected, the federal government would “send elite squads of ICE, Border Patrol and federal law enforcement officers to hunt down, arrest and deport every last illegal alien gang member until there is not a single one left in this country.” Vice President Kamala Harris, meanwhile, has stressed her support for a bipartisan border security bill to provide additional funding to the border and has also highlighted her history targeting transnational criminal organizations as a federal prosecutor.

DAVID MARCUS: In Pennsylvania, Kamala’s campaign is falling apart and even Democrats know it

DAVID MARCUS: In Pennsylvania, Kamala's campaign is falling apart and even Democrats know it

Perry is a hell of a nice guy from North Carolina who I met in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He’s in his 30s and is a consultant who has walked the Appalachian Trail. He thinks V.P. Kamala Harris is losing. “I wish she would just be clearer about who she is,” he told me. And he likes her, he even likes her better than he liked President Joe Biden, but he’s not an idiot and he sees the wheels are falling off of her campaign.I appreciated Perry talking to me because, honestly, it’s been harder and harder to get Democrats to talk of late. Like sad Mets fans, they are licking their wounds, and not in a particularly chatty mood.DEM STRATEGIST JAMES CARVILLE CERTAIN HARRIS WILL WIN, KNOCKS ‘SWEATY’ DEMOCRATSTwo months ago, this was not the case. High off of the dispatching of Joe Biden and the anointing of Kamala Harris as the nominee, Democrats were on a sugar high and eager to chat. But Perry was willing to tell me, with his charming southern twang that, “the Democrats are just closer to my values.” He has friends voting for former President Donald Trump, and, thankfully, has not had many relationships broken up over it.I pressed Perry a bit, because he really was such a nice guy, and I said, “Why? What is it about Harris that inspires you?” What followed was a familiar far-away look in the eyes, like an eager hand, grasping for something that doesn’t exist, “She gives me hope,” he said, and honestly it was the best pitch for Harris that I have heard in three months on the road.Later in the evening, I met Ryan, ex-military, in his early 40s and all in for Trump. Ryan didn’t hit a lot of talking points or make a stump speech, he just thinks Trump is solid, and he has no idea who Harris is.TRUMP’S MCDONALD’S VISIT SERVED UP FOUR BRILLIANT POLITICAL MOMENTSTurns out, he went to West Point with my much more impressive cousin Joey. Texts ensued and I realized how small Pennsylvania really is, for all its vast forest and mountains of autumnal awe and grace. We all kind of know each other. And what I know is that no matter what the polls tell you, Donald Trump is winning in Pennsylvania. I’m not saying it’s over, but this is more than momentum. It is starting to feel like destiny.Nicole, who is a housekeeper at my hotel and a Harris supporter, told me over a morning cigarette that she likes the vice president. I said, “If I gave you a hundred bucks right now and you had to put it on one or the other, what do ya do?””Trump,” she said, gesturing to a sign across the ancient Carlisle road, there wasn’t much doubt in her voice.HARRIS CAMPAIGN FACES WARNING SIGNS WITH YOUNG VOTERS IN ARIZONA: REPORTIt brought to mind a guy I spoke to the previous evening, his family has owned Pennsylvania coal mines for a century, and I said, “so do you go in those little tunnels? I don’t think I could.” He said, “It’s not so bad, I could take you some time,” I might take him up on that once the unpleasantness is all over. “We sell our coal to China,” he told me, “We’d like to sell it in the U.S., but we can’t.””You think that changes if Trump gets elected,” I asked him?CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION”I hope so,” he said. And there was that word again. Hope.Kamala Harris needs Perry and the housekeeper, and she has them. Well, that’s not quite right, the Democratic Party has them, not Harris, and that is the problem.Love him, hate him, or ignore him, Trump is who he is, and the voters know what they would be getting. Harris remains an enigma, a vague promise full of high and haughty words, almost a ghost.Ghosts don’t win elections and that is exactly why Kamala Harris is losing in Pennsylvania, and poised to fall to Trump. Harris, or the Party, or Nancy Pelosi, or Barack Obama, or whoever is in charge needs to decide who she really  is. Right now. Today. Perry wants something and someone to vote for. I heard it in his voice, and he deserves that. Whether or not he gets it remains to be seen. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAVID MARCUS
