Fox News’ Joey Jones broke down some of the weapons reportedly found by the IDF in a classroom in northern Gaza.  The IDF said on X, formerly known as Twitter, Saturday that its troops found weapons, ammunition and explosive devices inside a kindergarten.  An unidentified soldier in the video said the IDF found two large explosive charge blocks and bags of ammunition on top of a closet and under a bed. Jones, a Marine Corps veteran, said Hamas’ weapons arsenal provided insight into the terrorist group’s tactics and capabilities and the type of combat they anticipate.  A series of photos released by the IDF shows Hamas’ weapons ranging from hand-held grenades to RPGs. “First, we see here are 100, what we call pineapple grenades. All of these are handheld grenades. You pull the pin, you throw them, and they have these little serrations on them where they break in the fragmentation– all turning into dozens of bullets from each grenade,” Jones explained on “The Big Weekend Show.” “What this indicates is they’re anticipating hand-to-hand, close-quarters combat. These can only go as far as you can throw them unless you booby trap them then they become an IED.” IDF SEIZED WEAPONS CACHE, SUPPLIES FROM HAMAS DURING TERROR GROUP’S ATTACK ON ISRAEL Another photo showed a voltmeter or an O-meter, which Jones said is used to “test either blasting caps or electric circuits, probably in IEDs or certain types of munitions.” “Up here is really the part I want to talk to you about. What you have here, this is a circle, and these are mils or minutes of angle, and it’s to a very fine detail. And down here you have a tool that’s used to set the angle of something that you’re going to use to indirect fire– to lob. And so what this shows is [the] capability of mortars or other types of indirect fire, something you want to go for a long distance, but you also see it’s kind of rudimentary. It’s very simple stuff,” the retired staff sergeant said.  He added: “A lot of this stuff down here you get at Home Depot. It’s not super sophisticated. And that can help account for some of the rocket attacks that land inside Gaza itself because they’re not using sophisticated tools.”  BIDEN SAYS ISRAEL NOT TO BLAME FOR ROCKET ATTACK ON GAZA HOSPITAL THAT LEFT 500 DEAD: ‘DONE BY THE OTHER TEAM’ Jones then moved on to a third photo that showed an RPG on the ground with flight motors and launch motors.  “What that means…RPGs are capable of going up to 900 yards, so you could actually use them as indirect fire and use RPGs from a further distance away. Having the motors that are capable of that shows that might be a part of their battle plan,” he said. “So all of this shows you a little bit of what they’re capable of and a little bit of what they might be trying to do as far as strategy. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated on this day in history, Nov. 13, 1982 — becoming the newest addition to Washington, D.C.’s National Mall.  Designed by Maya Lin, an architectural student at Yale University at the time, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial consists of two 200-foot walls made up of 72 panels of polished black granite.  The names of more than 58,000 American service members who were killed (or were missing in action) in the Vietnam War are inscribed on 70 of those panels, in order of their deaths.  ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, NOVEMBER 12, 1942, NAVAL BATTLE OF GUADALCANAL BEGINS IN THE SOLOMON ISLANDS At the time of its dedication, the memorial was regarded for its “revolutionary minimalist design” that appeared as “a gash on the landscape, an unhealed wound,” said the website for the National Parks Service. Unlike the other memorials on the National Mall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial did not have statues of service members. Initially, it proved quite controversial among groups of veterans, notes the History Channel’s website.  After the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated, however, there was a “remarkable shift in public opinion” toward the memorial. As of 2023, it is the most-visited memorial on the National Mall, according to the Department of Defense website.  Today, it is not uncommon for friends and family members of those who are listed on the wall to leave mementos — such as flowers, photos, dog tags or even cans of beer — on the base of the panels bearing their names. NATIONAL VIETNAM WAR VETERANS DAY: HISTORY, FACTS AND HOW TO COMMEMORATE Items that are left behind become the property of the National Parks Service, says its website.  While the memorial was dedicated in 1982, the complex as a whole would see several additions in the years that followed. EMIL KAPAUN AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY The three soldiers were purposefully depicted as those of different races: One is European American, another is African American and another is Latino American.  The “Three Servicemen” sculpture was the first depiction of an African American on the National Mall, says Hart’s website.  “The fighting men depicted in the statue we dedicate today, the three young American servicemen, are individual only in terms of their battle dress; all are as one, with eyes fixed upon the memorial bearing the names of their brothers in arms,” said President Ronald Reagan in his speech at the dedication.  “On their youthful faces, faces too young to have experienced war, we see expressions of loneliness and profound love and a fierce determination never to forget,” the president added. A Cleveland, Ohio Jewish cemetery was vandalized with antisemitic graffiti, amid increased anti-Jewish acts following the Oct. 7 invasion of Israel by Hamas-led terrorists. FOX 8 in Cleveland reported that several headstones at the Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery on Ridge Road were spray painted with red swastikas. The swastikas were seen as the war between Israel and Hamas enters its fifth week. HISTORIC RISE IN ANTISEMITISM HAS AMERICAN JEWS ON EDGE: ‘GENERATIONAL CHALLENGE’ The Jewish Federation of Cleveland posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, that it is “absolutely sickening” anyone would hate Jewish people so much they would desecrate a cemetery. “This cowardly act to violate the memory of our elders only confirms what we already know: the hatred of the Jewish community here, and around the world, now is at a level not seen in generations,” the federation posted in a series of tweets. “We will support law enforcement in any way we can to see that those who are responsible face the consequences of their actions.” The act is another show of antisemitic hate toward American Jews, which is on the rise. Nationwide, the Anti-Defamation League reported a 388% rise in antisemitic incidents over the same period last year. CORNELL STUDENT ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO BEHEAD JEWISH BABIES TO REMAIN IN JAIL  As is the case around the country, most of the incidents reported in Michigan involve rallies in which protesters shouted inflammatory calls for violence, “celebrat[ed] the killing of civilians” or “question[ed] that Hamas [carried out] the attacks.” Rep. Shontel Brown, D-Oh., turned to social media after learning about the vandalized headstones. South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott on Sunday evening suspended his 2024 presidential campaign. Scott announced the news on an episode of Fox News’ “Sunday Night in America” with Trey Gowdy.  “I think the voters who are the most remarkable people on the planet have been really clear that they’re telling me, ‘Not now, Tim,’” Scott said. The senator also emphasized he has no plans to endorse another candidate in the Republican nomination race. FACING NEGATIVE NARRATIVE, SCOTT TOUTS HE HAS MORE MONEY THAN ANY CANDIDATE IN THE RACE EXCEPT TRUMP “The best way for me to be helpful is to not weigh in,” he said.  And also gave a thumbs down to the idea that he could serve as the running mate on the Republican Party’s 2024 national ticket. “Being vice president has never been on my to-do list,” he said. Scott, a rising star in the GOP and the only Black Republican in the Senate, launched his presidential campaign in May at an event in North Charleston, South Carolina. The senator repeatedly showcased his “optimistic, positive message anchored in conservatism.” Scott, standing just a few miles from where he grew up, highlighted that “we live in the land where it is possible for a kid raised in poverty by a single mother in a small apartment to one day serve in the People’s House and maybe even the White House.” The senator told Fox News at the time that “I’m stunned at the hunger for something positive as long as its anchored in conservatism. As long as you have a backbone.” But his positive and uplifting message failed to resonate in a combative GOP presidential nomination race dominated by former President Donald Trump, who is spotlighting his grievances as he runs a third straight time for the White House. Scott’s early momentum took a hit at the first GOP presidential primary debate in August, where he avoided the numerous verbal fistfights and rarely enjoyed the glare of the prime-time spotlight. He told Fox News after the debate that “the loudest voices too often say too little.”  While Scott was more aggressive in the second debate, in late September, he had fallen further behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who are battling for second place in the Republican primary polls, far behind Trump. Scott struggled to make last week’s third debate, but ultimately qualified. But he faced a tough task ahead in trying to make the stage at next month’s fourth debate, where the donor and polling thresholds to qualify are higher. In a sign of things to come, the Scott-aligned super PAC late last month canceled its massive ad blitz on behalf of the senator’s 2024 campaign. And while Scott launched his campaign with a formidable war-chest – thanks to $22 million left over from his convincing 2022 Senate re-election – his fundraising in the July-September third quarter of 2023 was anything but impressive. The senator had $14 million cash on hand left as of the end of September. And he touted in a Fox News Digital interview on Wednesday night, in the spin room following the third debate in Miami, Florida, that “we still have the most money of any candidate running for president other than Donald Trump.” But sources in Scott’s political orbit say that campaign cash was going to be an issue going forward. Reacting to the news, DeSantis said in a social media post that “Tim Scott is a strong conservative with bold ideas about how to get our country back on track. I respect his courage to run this campaign and thank him for his service to America and the U.S. Senate. I look forward to Tim continuing to be a leader in our party for years to come.” The field of GOP presidential contenders, which ballooned to over a dozen by the summer, is winnowing. Late last month, former Vice President Mike Pence became the first major Republican presidential candidate to drop out of the 2024 GOP nomination race.  Four GOP contenders who failed to qualify for the debates also ended their presidential bids. They are one-time CIA spy and former three-term Rep. Will Hurd of Texas, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, business leader and quality control expert Perry Johnson, and 2021 California gubernatorial recall election candidate and former conservative talk radio host Larry Elder. Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who qualified for the first debate but didn’t make the stage at the second and third showdowns, remains in the race for now. Hutchinson, whose shoestring campaign is running low on cash, has said he will reevaluate his standing come Thanksgiving. North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, who narrowly missed qualifying for Wednesday’s debate, is a multimillionaire due to his private sector success in the tech industry. He has more than ample resources to stay in the race and continues to campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire, the two lead-off states in the GOP nominating calendar. The first batch of migrants was bused to a makeshift tent city in Brooklyn on Sunday and took one look and were ready to leave, according to reports. Shortly after 12:30 p.m, Sunday, dozens of migrant families arrived at the remote housing site and wanted no part of it upon arrival. The controversial tent shelter at Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field, which has drawn widespread criticism for its remote location, among many other concerns, is set to house nearly 2,000 migrants, but the first busload abandoned the site after taking a view of it. “As we have said time and time again, more than 139,500 asylum seekers have moved through our intake system since the spring of 2022, all of whom have been offered vital services,” New York Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement.  MAYOR’S OFFICE AVOIDS SAYING WHETHER IT BACKS NONCITIZENS VOTING AFTER WARNING MIGRANT CRISIS WILL DESTROY NYC New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who got approval from the Biden administration to use Floyd Bennett Field for migrants, has also called on the feds to do more, but Mayor Adams has assured that precautions are in place to ensure safety at the site. “But with more than 65,600 migrants still currently in our care, and thousands more continuing to arrive every week, we have used every possible corner of New York City and are quite simply out of good options to shelter migrants,” Adams said. ADAMS GOES ON LATIN AMERICA TOUR TO DISSUADE MIGRANTS FROM GOING TO NYC, YET SAYS ‘BORDERS SHOULD REMAIN OPEN’ City officials are also working out the details to ensure that migrant children housed at the site have bus transportation to get to school.  State Assemblywoman Jaime Williams (D-Brooklyn) was at the field Sunday and spoke with a man who told her he was with the city’s Health and Hospitals system and had talked with some of the migrants. ADAMS REACTS TO BIDEN ADMIN LEGALIZING THOUSANDS OF MIGRANTS AFTER SAYING CRISIS WILL ‘DESTROY’ NYC “It’s a disaster waiting to happen,” Williams said in a statement.  Over 10,100 asylum seekers have come through the city intake center since September 2022. The city has opened 206 sites, including 15 humanitarian relief centers.
