This has not been a good week for them. No presidential candidate since Walter Mondale in 1984 has skipped out on the Al Smith dinner. Now it’s a charitable event benefiting Catholic Charities where candidates get to poke fun at each other. But Kamala was nowhere to be found. For a campaign supposedly built on joy, giggling and laughter, it was kind of a weird move, especially since it’s a very friendly room, usually New York City for Democrats, predominantly attended by liberals from New York City. Kamala did send what was nothing but a short, cringeworthy, heavily produced, not funny, edited video featuring a former SNL 
star that we won’t force you to watch again. And meanwhile, the dinner’s host, comedian Jim Gaffigan, I mean, he just roasted Kamala’s absence and had some very interesting observations about the Democratic Party. They were funny. …Why did she skip out on the dinner? After all, her campaign is desperately trying to make up ground. After more than two weeks of horrible polls and horrible media appearances, let’s look at it this way, at this point in 2016, RealClearPolitics average showed Hillary Clinton with a seven point lead over Donald Trump and she lost. In 2020, same average had Biden up by nearly 9%. And that race was decided by a few thousand votes. But now Harris is barely holding on to a one-point lead in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan. Both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden had substantial leads. Now, Donald Trump has the edge.

Pat Mahomes Sr., a former Major League Baseball pitcher and the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, appeared to invoke the name of his famous son when he was stopped by police this past February.Per video police footage obtained by TMZ, Mahomes pleaded with officers while he was in handcuffs and mentioned his son’s name multiple times.”Can I say one thing?” Mahomes Sr. began. “My son is getting ready to play in the f—ing Super Bowl.”Mahomes Sr. admitted he “had some drinks” before citing concerns over how the arrest could hurt his son and the Chiefs as they prepared for the Super Bowl. “I am not drunk, I promise you. If that’s what y’all want to do, that’s good.”Mahomes Sr.’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was reported at .23, which is nearly three-times the legal limit in Texas.Mahomes Sr. was ultimately able to travel to Las Vegas to watch his son win a third career Super Bowl title. However, the elder Mahomes received a five-year probation after he agreed he pleaded guilty to a DWI 3rd time or more charge and reached a deal with prosecutors.Tyler, Texas news station KLTV reported that Mahomes Sr. had to continue attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings as a condition of the deal. Chris Christie lashed out against Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell Thursday for running up the score against his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, in a 47-9 blowout last Sunday.”That’s Dan Campbell. He’s got no class, never has,” Christie said Thursday on the “Mad Dog Unleashed” radio show with Chris Russo. “So, it’s fine. Look, Dan Campbell, that’s the way he is, and what goes around comes around.”The Lions got their lopsided win against the Cowboys fairly easily, dominating in all phases. I don’t think that’s what pros do, but it’s his prerogative. It’s the reputation that he’ll carry around. A college admissions officer at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania accused supporters of former President Trump of tolerating “rape,” “xenophobia” and “homophobia” in a heated social media post.In screenshots obtained by Campus Reform, Gettysburg College admissions counselor Lupe Lazaro told Trump supporters, “You are no different than the piece of s— human you stand behind,” in an Instagram Stories post she shared.”Not all Trump supporters lied about and defamed legal immigrants but they all decided it wasn’t a deal breaker. Not all Trump supporters disrespect our military. But they decided that it wasn’t a deal breaker. Not all Trump supporters tried to lynch the vice president. But they decided it wasn’t a deal breaker,” read the post she shared in September, according to Campus Reform.UNIVERSITY INSTRUCTOR ON LEAVE AFTER CALLING TO LINE UP AND SHOOT MEN WHO WON’T VOTE FOR FEMALE PRESIDENTThe post also said that Trump supporters were fine with “xenophobia,” “mocking the disabled,” “felons,” “homophobia,” “rape,” “misogyny” and plotting to “overthrow democracy.”According to the college website, Lazaro graduated from Gettysburg this year with a major in psychology and minors in sociology and Spanish. Her biography appears to have been taken down from the college admissions office website.”We are aware that an employee recently reshared a post on her private account that was later made public by one of her followers,” Gettysburg College told Fox News Digital when reached for comment. “Gettysburg College does not endorse or condone the views expressed in the recent post and is deeply committed to fostering civil discourse and welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and ideologies from across the nation and the globe.”Lazaro did not respond to a request for comment.Earlier this month, another election-related rant put one university instructor in hot water. The University of Kansas put an instructor on leave after he was filmed in a classroom telling students that men who didn’t support female presidential candidates should be lined up and “shot.” A few days later, the college announced he was no longer employed at their institution.
